With our first show weekend behind us and hopefully the dog show hangover that comes with it, we would like to send a Huge Thank you to all who made it possible!

No small task goes unnoticed, each and every person who contributes in any way are of tremendous value to our club and the show community. Clubs would not exist if not for the hard work of all the volunteers!

Seeking a Canteen Assistant!
We are looking to secure a volunteer for a few hours to assist during the lunch rush, noon-2ish next Saturday &/or Sunday!
We offer made to order sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches, we also serve pre-made soup!

💥BLOOD CLINIC INTEREST POST💥

We are reaching out to the local dog community to gauge interest in hosting a blood/titre clinic fundraiser for our club.

Available testing would include Titre Testing, OFA Thyroid, Nutriscan just to name a few.

If you're interested please leave a comment, what test/s you're interested in as well as how many dogs. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

CKC is offering this opportunity at no cost and is open to members and non-members.

Some of you may be aware that securing Ring Stewards has been a real struggle, it was incredibly challenging this past year.

Please give some consideration to taking this free online course and volunteering to help local clubs. There are only 6 show weekends a year in NL so it's not a huge commitment, and as an added bonus most clubs offer free lunch to those who volunteer for this role.

I'm sure there would also be opportunities to shadow Ring Stewards during a show weekend in order to gain some experience.

So much to be thankful for following our Thanksgiving Show Weekend!! We're beyond grateful for so many amazing volunteers who helped make this past weekend a huge success!

Based on the feedback, it was definitely one of the BEST ones yet! There were so many positive comments on the reserved grooming space, the Parade of Champions Rosettes, and what was by far the most efficient and productive show setup to date...to each and every one of you who made this weekend possible, we thank you from the bottom of our paw shaped hearts!! 🐾🫶💞

We think Anne would have been pleased with the Parade of Champions as well as the number of exhibitors who wore animal print & flashy colors! Stay tuned for the live draw for a free entry in our May 2026 event as well as a tumbler donated by Once Upon a Tumbler, thank you 😊
