🌎Happy Earth Day🌎
Since pausing our bottle cap collection program last July, I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to find ways of making the Recycle on the Rock project sustainable long-term.
I still have some details to sort out, but I have exciting news about our future plans that I will be sharing sometime in the next couple of weeks. 🙂
I’d like to once again thank all of our collection partners, our VCC’s & of course, everyone who has been saving their caps.

Couple of custom orders for the holidays♻️If you’re wanting one of our products in a specific colour, give me a shout!

Look at all of these caps!! The lovely folks and volunteer students at MUN Hope have been doing a terrific job collecting and sorting plastic caps for the Recycle on the Rock project. These caps were cleaned & sorted into colours already which means they can go straight into the shredder, how amazing! Thank you MunHope :)

Exciting news for the the New-Wes-Valley Area! 🌟

Back in April, I received an email from Cindy Gillingham about her desire to bring the Recycle on the Rock project to her neck of the woods. She lives in the New-Wes-Valley area. Her passion for the environment was evident and so I asked her if she would be interested in becoming Recycle on the Rock’s second official Volunteer Collection Coordinator. She accepted the challenge and began searching for potential community collection partners for the area. It took me a while to build and deliver the required collection bins but they have all been put to good use!🙂

We’re excited to announce 5 new community collection points for that part of the island!♻️ The new partners are: Carter's Dairy/Bakery/Deli Gas Bar (Pound Cove), Saunders General Store Ltd. (Harris Point), Angie's Family Restaurant (Victoria Cove), The Textile Exchange (Templeman) & the previously mentioned New-Wes-Valley Recycling Green Depot (Valleyfield). 🎉 Thank you to our new partners, we’re excited to have you on-board!

A big thank you to VCC (Volunteer Collection Coordinator) Cindy Gillingham for leading the charge for the project in her area & for volunteering to transport the caps for many of the collection partners mentioned above. Her efforts have enabled her community to keep plastic caps out of our landfills & oceans.❤️

These locations will be accepting plastic bottle caps, bread tags & take-away drink lids. For the caps, the guideline is: If the cap is plastic and it screws on/off, then it’s accepted! Please remember to wash your caps before placing them in the collection bins.
