Oh my gosh, we are in love. Ruby had been a bit quiet and spent time in the bottom of her hide and perch watching all of the activity in the room, which she was sharing with other cats who were also up for adoption.
She has blossomed since the high energy kittens have gone into forever homes and the kitten chaos has subsided.
Ruby is a little potato with tiny legs. She is petite in so many ways, however, Ruby could also lose a bit of weight.
Ruby now owns the room and she knows it. She is so much more relaxed, gives lots of head bumps and her cute little tail quivers all the time with happiness.
At the Sea to Sky BC SPCA and the organization as a whole, we follow strict welfare guidelines including housing requirements, but no matter what we can do, there is nothing that will compare to a loving home environment.
Ruby would do best in a quiet home, as she did live with small children previously, and had a very difficult time adjusting.

We will sometimes share the room by letting cats out in the day and the night to have room time. Cyclops and Ms. Marvel have most of the day to run around and play in the room, so we give the night to sweet Ruby.
This is what this pair does when they cannot be together. Our kennels are not big enough to have both them in one so we have to separate them in the evening.

Although this bonded pair are polar opposites, they do love each other. Cyclops loves to watch cat tv, hang out in his cat tree and get soft pets that make him roll over on his back in bliss.
Ms. Marvel is high energy, runs around and plays with everything in her way and does like pets, but she has less patience for that kind of thing, when there are toys to play with and things to explore.
At the end of the day, a good snuggle takes place with Ms. Marvel and Cyclops all tucked into bed together.
Ms. Marvel does get a bit discouraged with Cyclops when he won't run around like a crazy kitten, and we have observed her trying to get him out of his favorite spot by gently pulling him by the neck.

We are loving having Miss Princess as a resident at the Sea to Sky BC SPCA. She is silly, social and soft.
Princess is confident, charismatic and charming but other cats can make her cranky, so she needs to be the only cat in the household.
She was recently groomed and looks gorgeous and glamorous. Just don't call it a poodle cut in front of miss P or she might get grouchy.
Laps are one of her favorite luxuries, as is looking and listening to the landscape and lying in the sunlight.

This is Mikey! Somewhere along the way before he reached us, someone tried to give him an inner-ear ID tattoo. Well, we’ll never know what happened, but it turned his entire ear blue!
It looks like he went to a festival and had a little too much fun 🕺
Will it fade? Maybe. Does it also totally match his fun-loving personality? Yup! Mikey wants to be best friends with everyone. He’s social, inquisitive, and just as unique as his ear 💙

We have the happiest, sweetest, most affectionate cats taking over our centre right now! The only thing that would make them happier? Their own humans!

260 days in care and we can stop counting! Rolo has found a home and an amazing home it is. Rolo is going to a home with a few other bunnies who are also named after chocolate bars! Rolo will eventually be bonded with a male holland lop, so fingers crossed it all goes smoothly and she has a buddy soon. If not, they have no expectations for Rolo, and she will be loved and taken care of as a single rabbit. We are soooo happy for this sweet girl!
