Did you know over half of pets in Canada are overweight?

Extra pounds can lead to joint pain, diabetes, and shorter lifespans, but the good news is, with the right nutrition and exercise, it’s preventable!

On National Pet Obesity Day, let’s make a commitment to healthier, happier pets. 🐕🐈

How do you keep your pet active and fit?

💕 MEET SOOKI — LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME! 🐾

Sooki is a beautiful 5-year-old female Scottish Fold who was recently surrendered to us and is now looking for the right family to call her own. 🏡💕

Sooki is an incredibly sweet and loving girl, but she does have a few special requirements to help her live her happiest, most comfortable life.

🐾 She must be the only pet in the home, as other animals can cause her significant stress.
🐾 She is currently on a specific hydrolyzed diet that will need to be continued.
🐾 Most importantly, she needs a patient, loving home where she can settle in, feel safe, and be completely spoiled. ❤️

Sooki has so much love to give and deserves a home where she can truly relax and be the centre of attention.

Think you might be Sooki’s perfect match? Please get ahold of us at Parkland Veterinary Clinic to learn more about her or arrange to meet her! 🐱💗

Please share and help us find Sooki her forever home! 🏡🐾

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from Parkland Veterinary Clinic! 🐾🧡
Just a reminder that we will be CLOSED Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving.
🍁 Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
🍁 Sunday: CLOSED
🍁 Monday, October 12: CLOSED
🍁 Tuesday: Regular hours resume
💊 Please plan ahead!
If your pet needs prescription medications or food, please check your supply and arrange to pick up anything you need before the long weekend. Don’t let Fido realize he’s out of food Sunday night. 😅
🦃 Thanksgiving Pet Safety Reminder:
Keep turkey bones, fatty foods, gravy, stuffing, onions, garlic, chocolate, desserts containing xylitol, alcohol, and other holiday treats away from curious paws. Secure garbage and food scraps too—our pets are very talented at finding the things they shouldn’t! 🐶🐱
🚨 If your pet experiences an emergency while we are closed, please call 780-962-2535.
Have a safe, happy & healthy Thanksgiving weekend! We are incredibly thankful for our wonderful clients, patients, and community. 🧡🍂🐾
