Our new board & train Loffy is here for two weeks to work on his arousal levels around dogs. We are so proud of how he handled the sprinters weekend he attended with us! It wasn’t without challenge but he worked through his big feelings & didn’t need to lean on treats/ obedience the entire time ✨👏🏻 the goal isn’t a robot dog.. it’s a dog who can exist without losing his mind at every little thing

🎄 Christmas boarding bookings are now open! 🐾

The holiday season will be here before we know it, and we’re starting to fill our Christmas boarding calendar!

If you’re planning to travel over the holidays and need a safe, comfortable place for your dog to stay, now is a great time to get your dates booked. ❤️

Our boarding spaces are limited so we can continue providing the individualized care and attention your dogs deserve.

A little reminder about boarding credits! 🐶

Any outstanding credits must be used before the end of 2026, as they will not carry over into 2027.

Please also remember that boarding credits cannot be redeemed during the month of December, so November will be your last opportunity to use them!

Walking skills don’t need to be complicated. So much can improve when we give our dogs clear guidance through our own movements. ✨

Our pace, when we stop, how we change direction and what we reward all help our dogs understand how to move with us. Before adding more commands, it’s worth looking at what we’re already communicating through our bodies and the leash.

Olivia is a mum who’s been struggling to walk both her dogs with her toddler along. We’re working on making those walks feel more manageable by building the skills individually, keeping our movements clear and giving the dogs time to practise before putting it all together.

That means noticing and rewarding the little things too. Checking in, following a turn, slowing down with us and choosing to walk on a loose leash. Those are skills we can build on.

The goal is to be able to head out with your dogs and your child and actually enjoy the walk. That starts with simple, consistent practice that fits into your everyday life. 💕

Everyone talks about how much work puppies are, but it hits a little differently when you’re trying to make dinner with one attached to your pant leg 😂

So much of puppy training happens in those everyday moments. Learning to settle while you’re busy, getting comfortable spending time alone, walking with you, and figuring out that every person or dog they see isn’t necessarily someone they get to meet.

That’s a big part of what we work on during puppy board and train. Building those foundations throughout the day, with time to play, explore and rest, too.

You don’t have to be struggling to get some help getting started. And if you already are overwhelmed, you’re definitely not the only one.

“He’s friendly!” is only part of the picture when choosing who your puppy plays with.

Watch what happens when your puppy slows down or tries to leave. Does the other dog give them space, or keep pushing? Are both dogs choosing to come back for more, or is one constantly trying to get away?

Look for compatible play styles, natural pauses and dogs who can adjust their intensity. Step in when your puppy needs help. They shouldn’t have to keep escalating to get a break.

Be selective about their playmates. These early experiences are helping shape what your puppy expects from other dogs. 🐾

Sirus joined us today for his first lesson & I couldn’t be happier with the start to his program ✨ his owner rocked this session & her handling. I’ve been really enjoying working with such dedicated humans to their furry friends even when they are having a hard time on both ends of the leash. 💕
