Our mission is to raise puppies with individualized care, with a focus towards preserving the health and loving temperament of the Australian Labradoodle. We are member breeders of the ALAA (Australian Labradoodle Association of America), an organization diligent in upholding the integrity of the breed and requires genetic testing of all breeding dogs. We assist with every delivery and therefore handle each pup from the time they are born. We find this individualized attention and stimulation creates dogs that are better socialized, more intelligent and physically healthier. This care and supervision of puppies is our passion!

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Big Rock Labradoodles! 🍂🤎

This weekend, we’re feeling especially grateful for the families and friends who make Big Rock such a special part of our lives.

To our puppy families—thank you for trusting us with the beginning of your dog’s story. We put so much love into those first weeks, and seeing our puppies become cherished members of your families means more than we can say. Your photos, updates, and little everyday stories are gifts we never tire of receiving.

To our guardian families, thank you for the love and care you give our wonderful dogs. And to everyone who cheers us on, shares our posts, recommends us to a friend, or simply follows along—thank you for being part of our community.

💙 AZRAEL IS LOOKING FOR HIS PERSON

Az is a whole lot of dog, about 115 lbs of hair, enormous feet and a ridiculously sweet personality ❤️

He is affectionate, happy, people-loving and wants very much to be part of the family. He loves attention, loves to play, loves belly rubs and snuggles, loves being involved, and underneath all that hair is a giant softie who deserves a home that really suits him.

🏡 An acreage or rural home would be wonderful, although the right home and person matter most.

🐾 He would do best as an only dog, or with a female dog in the home.

🐈 He is good with cats.

👧 Kids are fine, but because of his sheer size and strength, children should not be responsible for walking or handling him.

🎓 His new person needs to be an experienced dog handler who is comfortable working on training, boundaries and manners. We would also recommend being open to working with a qualified trainer/behaviour professional if needed.

❤️ Most importantly, Az is not an outdoor-only dog. He wants to live with his people, be included in everyday life and have someone who genuinely enjoys having a giant hairy shadow following them around.

Az will be neutered prior to homing. There will be a small adoption fee to cover the cost of neutering.

🌟 The reservation list for Rory's retirement litter is finally open! We are pairing her with the very handsome Nabob and expect puppies born in January 2027, going home March 2027.

I will be reaching out to families on our waitlist first to start collecting deposits and filling our reservation list for this litter. If you are interested in taking home one of these puppies, please submit an application on our website.

💙 Looking for the right home for Azrael. His current family can no longer give him the attention and exercise that he deserves.

Azrael is a very large boy, approximately 115 lbs, and underneath all that hair is one of the sweetest, happiest, most affectionate dogs. He absolutely loves his people and wants to be part of the family.

His ideal home would be an acreage or rural property where he has room to move and someone who wants a big dog involved in their everyday life. He is NOT an outdoor-only dog. He loves being with his people far too much for that.

And because it deserves mentioning: his feet are approximately the size of a wildcat's. 😂❤️ He's a BIG boy.

Right now, he simply isn't getting enough exercise, attention or one-on-one time. That's not the life we want for him. He deserves someone who has the time and space for him and who will absolutely adore having a giant, hairy shadow following them around.

💚 7.5 weeks old and getting so close to home day! 🥹

It’s hard to believe the Shades of Green litter will soon be heading off to join their new families.

Over the coming week, the puppies will complete their temperament testing, which helps us learn even more about each puppy’s personality, confidence, energy level and individual strengths. From there, we’ll use those results along with everything we’ve observed over the past several weeks to help match each puppy with the family that suits them best. 💚

Edmonton and Area families!

We are looking for a guardian home for this beautiful boy named Bear! He is coming to us from a breeder in the States and we need to find the perfect home for him.

He will only be needed as a stud dog for a couple of years as he is already 5 years old. He has been living with his current breeder and they want to make sure he has a loving and committed home before sending him our way. He is used to being around people during the day, so I am looking for a family who is at home or works from home who has experience with dogs. He is good with kids and other dogs. He has a bit of a story behind him which we can chat further about if you are interested.

I would love to keep him in the Big Rock family, but am open to other homes with significant dog experience (intact male dog experience would be even better!).
