“Rosabels Keep the Lights Burning” aka Gus was not so sure about his bath this morning. He was very brave though ❤️

I don’t usually give them bathes before they head home, the new families get to experience them in all their smelly puppy-ness, but it rained here yesterday, and Gus is flying all the way to Winnipeg in the cabin of a plane, so I figured it was the least I could do for the other passengers :) puppies can be pretty smelly!

I find people are on the fence with this one. Do you like puppy smells?

It’s hard to believe that time with the puppies is almost up! They are eight weeks old this week and start going to their new homes this weekend. It’s always a little bittersweet, we have enjoyed these guys so much, but it’s exciting to see them go to their new families and begin thriving as well. I enjoy getting to spend the time with them, and even all the silly things like crate training, nail trims, socialization… and just getting to play with these guys has been such an honor. I’m so thankful for all the families who have trusted our process and breeding program and can’t wait to see these guys in their new homes!

We made it to 7 weeks! They are really starting to become little dogs and it’s so much fun. Personalities are really shining through and it’s a little bitter sweet knowing it’s coming to an end. I’m pretty sure I know who is going where and which one is staying. But I probably won’t announce that yet ;)

I had to enlist a little bit of help with unruly puppies and Izzy did amazing! She’s very keen to start Junior handling again.

Peggy isn’t stacked this week, she hurt her foot and I didn’t want to stress her out.

I told a lie yesterday.

I did get a better stack from Wickie. Actually that’s a lie too. My son was able to stack her the best, but as you can see, the table was a little more cluttered.

Love that these guys are so eager to help. The younger son also was trying his hand at stacking, but let’s just say his big brother is master at the moment ;)

I have a confession to make. I have a really hard time figuring out which girl is which in photos. It’s not as big of a problem in person because the size difference and personality between the two, but their markings are so similar sometimes I really second guess when I’m going through the camera roll.

Which do you prefer?

And Wickie is a stinker. Of the 8million pictures I took, this was literally the best one.

It’s a little exaggerated in this post, but only a little. The size difference between the biggest (Beamer) and smallest (Peggy) puppies in this litter is starting to look pretty substantial. It’s not that she’s a runt, it’s just that she will probably mature to less than 13” and the other puppies will be closer to 15”.
