Today we did our 2nd SDDA ELITE trial. In Elite we are searching with unknown numbers. Exteriors are 0-3 hides with distractors. There was 1 hide today, but we worked for almost 4.5 minutes before calling done.
Containers are 2-4 hides with distractors. There were 3 today and Gordie found them all in 1 minute.
I walked into our last search thinking we may pull this off!
Interior was 3 rooms, 0-5 hides total, with distractors. Gordie alerted in a book shelf between 2 hides, thus we NQ'd. In Elite, you must pass all 3 components at once - you can't stack them from different trials.
While it isn't the story book ending, that isn't the point. My dog was happy and worked his little butt off. And that's all I care about. He also managed to snag a 1st place in Containers and a 2nd place in Interior.
We will get there one day. I have all the faith that we can.
