October 22: 315 days ago our eyes met.

Nina crawled under a vehicle to rescue you as you were shut down and scared.

Our team worked with you everyday to show you love and everyday the light slowly came back in you.

You were our Lemon Cakes because you had the sweetest soul. You were also our Gecko because you feared everything and everyone until you let them in. The people that got to see the true you : You were an absolute goof ball and cuddle bug

If only I would could look into a glass ball for the future.

Last nights out come was not how we wanted it. I held you in my arms and our eyes met like the first day we met. But this time I knew it was time to say goodbye to the world that was so unkind to you

To the gentlemen with the speckled heeler pitty and the white and tan one. I hope you feel some of the pain I feel right now. As my heart is absolutely shattered and broken.

I hope you learn from this and have your dogs muzzled and doubled leashed before you even consider walking your dogs. The Clairmont doesn’t need another incident like this. This could have been prevented, you had an aggressive dog that you had no control of. Especially for it to break its leash.

To the truck who drove off after you hit Lemon and didn’t consider turning around as bylaw and other people were waving you done. Shame on you.

The 10 minutes that I ran back home to grab more blankets to set up another trap for Lemon I will regret. To hear the sadness from a kind gentleman calling me to say he seen it happen. Thank you

Community help! Last seen in Clairmont Ball diamonds

As you have seen LEMON is still missing. She is our Rescue through Pawsitive Paws Rescue Ltd.

She was doing a foster to adopt program

Last night she was ATTACKED by a guys dog who’s leash/collar broke away and jumped her.

***Brenda ran after Lemon so information of the dog attacked we don’t have information on. Hoping this owner will contact us: Both mixed breed
The one that attacked her was speckled like a blue healer, but stalky like a Pitt.( probably 60 lbs)
The other one was was about the same size, but was white and tan******

We do not know the severity of the attack and if she has any wounds as she soon as she could she bulleted and ran in fear
Please do not approach Lemon. She was already a timid dog and now is even more fearful.

Please do not call for her name as this may only cause her to run more

If you see her please call me immediately or Brenda as she is will recognize either of us. She doesn’t do well with strangers and this will only push her to run more.

We need to find her as hoping she isn’t injured to bad

She is my everything we have had her at our shelter for 300 days and is our baby girl

Hi my name is Sunny

I just turned a year and I’m looking for my new forever home. Unfortunately my owner had a medical emergency that has left it where he is unable to care for me. He needs to focus on his health and get better.

My dad did an amazing job raising me and giving me so much love so he had to make the really difficult decision to do what’s best for me.

He and I attended training classes: We learned how to use a clicker.

I am house trained and love hanging out with my humans. I am great with kids and I love to play with other furry friends

We can not put into words how happy we are to see Lemon Cakes find someone who is going to give her the love, time and patience she deserves. She is a very timid girl who has gone through so much in the short 3 years of her life.

She came to use back in October and we called her the Gecko because every time someone came to look at her she tried to blend into the wall.

Today her eyes met her new owner and I knew that this was the right fit. As watched them go for their walk I held back the tears as this was it. She found her human and her connection.

Trust is a big thing for Lemon as she had so much trauma but once she trusted you she light up and you got her cuddly and goofy side.

Huge shout out to Mackenzie from Prairie Pups for fostering her for a bit and show her some of the world ❤️ and giving her so much love
