Wow, I can’t believe I’m done dog walking. This week and the last month since I’ve been slowly stepping back has been such an emotional rollercoaster.
It’s been so heartbreaking to say goodbye to so many amazing dogs, but I know this is what’s best for me!

I love all of these dogs like my own and already miss them SO much.

It’s been absolutely amazing working this job for the last 3 years and I will forever cherish the relationships made with both my dog and human clients.

Hey everyone, long time to chat!
I have a pretty huge bittersweet announcement to make.

As some of you know, I’ve been living with chronic pain for quite some time, and for the last few years I’ve luckily been able to keep walking dogs full time! However, unfortunately over the last year, and especially the last 5 months or so, my pain has gotten worse. I’ve been having Stacy take over many walks for me over the last while so I can rest, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough. I’ve tried many things to manage my pain, but hiking multiple times a day every day is just too much for my body.

With that, I am so heartbroken to announce that I’ll be closing my dog walking business, with my last day being Friday, February 26th. I am devastated to not be with the dogs anymore, but I know this is what I need to do to not be in pain all day every day.

I am SO thankful for both Stacy (.and.polka.dot) and Marina () for taking over all of my dogs. They’ve both been so lovely and really stepped up to help me make sure none of my amazing clients are left without a dog walker.
I’m so thankful for all of my clients choosing to trust me with their pups, and always being so understanding with changes in schedules and walkers. I’m going to miss not only the dogs, but my clients as well.

For the future, I will be officially going full time with my dog gear business .canine.gear which I am very excited about!
I will also still be doing some casual walks with very limited availability.

Thank you to everyone who has shown myself and both of my businesses so much support over the years ❤️

UPDATE: This friendly little chap is home now. Thanks for sharing everyone!

This handsome fellow was picked up by one of our bylaw officers this morning. He is now at the SPCA if you are looking for your pal. (And a gentle reminder, when a dog has a tag we can can return them to you so much quicker)

Running into our holiday break like...

Thank you all for your support this year! It’s been strange but so good, we were able to add our walker Stacy to the team this year and she has truly been such a perfect match for this job, we’ve welcomed many new pups who we’ve fallen so in love with, and we’ve worked extremely hard both in front of and behind the scenes!
With the dog walking becoming much busier (hiring another walker soon) and me starting my second business, this break is definitely needed! We’ll be back on the 28th freshly rested and ready to go!

Sorry I haven’t been very active on this page lately guys! Between starting the new business (.canine.gear) and other things happening behind the scenes, I’ve definitely been slacking on posts and stories! The pups are still happy as ever, as are we! I’m just taking a bit of space from posting for the moment to focus more on really enjoying my time with all of our lovely dogs!
To everyone who inquired about walks this week, I will be getting back to you tomorrow, thank you for your patience!
