We are so incredibly thrilled to announce that this gorgeous girl has hit the market! This will be a bittersweet sale as we adore this chunky girl, but we can't wait to watch all the great things she will do with her next competition partner!

Brash and Sassy is a 2016, 16.1hh OTTB mare looking for her next competition partner! Bella is honest, scopey and loves her job: to jump! She has show miles in dressage and jumping and is ready to move up with her next rider. Price in the lowest 5 figures, to increase with further show experience. She is dedicated, smart, and talented, definitely potential to be an upper level prospect with further development!

Located in Saskatoon.

Even though Sterling's stay with us was brief, it ended in tragedy and left a mark on our hearts. We talk about him often💔

It's the inevitable every horse owner must eventually face. Losing a horse can feel like losing a big piece of your heart or a cherished family member. There's no way around grief, but there are steps you can take to properly mourn the loss of your horse and eventually make peace with the situation....

Please ignore the mud.. just for learning purposes.

THIS is a true osselet, one day I hope more people are educated on them and how little they actually effect a horses future. They can be ugly to look at but once set rarely do they ever bother a horse again.

This horse has a HUGE osselet but with the xrays show a clean and health joint space. Its simply calcification built up over time.

Can it at some point possibly break off...yeah sure. Can your horse bang its knee or ankle and cause a chip... the odds are pretty equal.

Osselets are not chips, they are not sesamoid fractures... these are something TOTALLY different and have a specific way they form which is more of an oval shape. If you see a horse with a big ankle and it looks more like a softball, totally round.. it is likely not an osselet.

If this post helps one person understand more about what these are and opens their mind it's done its job.
This horse is happy, healthy, sound... and one heck of mover!

We are back!! Here's what we've been up to!

At the end of October Bethany and Bella competed in the 2021 OTTB challenge in Saskatoon. Bella handled the brand new jumps and crowd wonderfully, we are so proud of her! A rider error during their first round ended in an unplanned dismount. After brushing off her show coat and bruised ego, they stepped into the ring and completed their second round. This experience made clear some things for Bethany to work on to be able to give the youngsters the best possible experience in the show ring! She is more determined than ever to be the best rider for her girls!

Bella has been enjoying a well deserved break, but it's almost time to go back to work!

We have a very exciting year ahead with Bella and our show plans for her, and miss Nova nearly ready to begin her journey under rider.

Stay tuned for more shenanigans and adventures in 2022! Happy riding😊

Well the challenge is only a week away!! Spectators are welcome to attend Prairieland Park with vaccine passports or negative covid tests to cheer on their OTTB pals on Oct 30! It has been a tough year for Bella's rider with many physical and confidence setbacks but despite this we know Bella is going to go and represent her breed well next weekend! And most importantly we will HAVE FUN!!😆 We hope to see you there!!
