Meet sweet Barli! This curious girl came in for her very first puppy checkup and vaccines, and we think she found a few things to love about her visit! 🥹💕

At Bridge City Veterinary Rehabilitation, we believe those little moments matter. ❤️

While we’re here to make sure your puppy is healthy and up to date on their vaccines, we also want to help them build positive associations with veterinary care from the very beginning.

Sometimes, the best thing a puppy takes home from their first visit (besides being healthy) is the memory of a place where good things happen. 🦴🧸🐾

🐾 Two brothers, two very different rehab journeys. 💙

These sweet boys are both here for their underwater treadmill sessions, but each has his own reason for being here.

🐶 One is working through his recovery following MPL surgery, using the underwater treadmill as part of his post-operative rehabilitation.

🐶 The other is a senior working on mobility, strength and healthy weight management.

And while their goals may be different, they both seem pretty happy to patiently wait their turn. 🥹💦

This is what we love about veterinary rehabilitation — there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Rehab can be beneficial for pets at many different stages of life and for so many different reasons, including recovery after surgery or injury, supporting senior mobility, weight management, building strength, managing chronic conditions, and improving overall mobility and quality of life.

With a variety of therapies available, we can create a plan that is tailored to your pet and their individual goals. 💙

Whether they're recovering, aging, working toward a healthier weight, or simply needing a little extra support to keep moving comfortably, we're here to help them along the way.

🐾 Meet Kaycee! 💙

Kaycee came to Bridge City for her rehabilitation assessment after her family noticed that she was occasionally sore and tiring more easily.

Her assessment revealed bilateral medial patellar luxation, meaning both of her kneecaps have a tendency to move out of their normal position.

Another important part of Kaycee’s rehabilitation plan is weight management. Extra kilograms can place additional stress on already-compromised joints.

Our goal is to gradually bring her weight closer to her ideal weight while maintaining good nutrition and muscle mass. ⚖️🐶

Her rehabilitation plan includes underwater treadmill therapy to help build hind-limb strength and endurance while reducing the impact on her joints. 🌊

We’ll also be working on her individualized home exercises and gradually increasing her activity as her strength and comfort improve.

We’re excited to help Kaycee become stronger, more comfortable and more confident in her movement! 💙🐾

It was such a special evening seeing so many incredible women and Saskatchewan businesses recognized for their hard work, passion, and contributions to our community.

We were also thrilled to see Cynthia Block there to acknowledge and celebrate this year’s honourees.
