We apologize for the lack of activity in recent months, we took a bit of a breeding break while going through a few things.

We are HAPPY to announce that we will be reopen for public adoptions very very soon! We also have a wealth of new educational information and graphics to share with you all! 🥰

Please enjoy this photo of one of our newest additions to the rattery, this 17 day old cutie. ❤️

We are happy to present our updated litters photos from our MoonShine (Russian Silver) line, we posted these the other day but due to Facebook's Pages update we clearly posted them in the wrong place and aren't sure where they went 🫣😅

This was a small litter of only four bucks three of which will be available for adoption and one which will be held back and is not featured in these photos.

We will be touching bases with those of you on our waitlist for this litter very very soon!! ❤️

We are proud to present Tater-Tots first litter and the continuation of our Russian Silver line! Eyes have just peeped open the other day ❤️

This is a small litter of 4 boys, one of which will be remaining with us. We are so excited for this litter as our Russian Silver line is one of our pride and joys, a beautiful icy blue coat with Ruby red eyes.

The indoor lighting in these photos just cannot do justice to their true colour and we will have to plan a natural lighting shoot in the next few days. 😊

The long awaited litter photoshoot has arrived.

ALMOST all current babies are shown here minus 3, as they kind of sorta got pee'd before their turn for photos 😅 (thanks brothers and sisters lol) so I will upload them later this week with clean furred photos lol

I thank everyone for their patience with these photos, in the past we used to post photos right from birth all the way through however recently Facebook has gotten a little upset and has been confusing newborn stage rats for nudity 😅 and as a result why we have chosen only to start posting photos of babies once they are definitely past that stage 🫣

These photos took a little bit more time to finalize than I thought they would, because the weather did not want to cooperate this weekend and none of the flowers wanted to open up and bloom, so photos were taken as the flowers co-operated.

They're also so many photos that I had to upload far more than I normally would, because they're too cute not to!

For those of you on our approved list for adoption, most of these babies will be available for reservation once they hit 5 weeks old, and as long as their temperament is suitable. 😊

And yes I promise these ARE different rats lol, we appear to have lots of Himalayan, and those points should grow in nicely 🥰

❤️ eyes are open and they're running around, we are thinking of doing some group and individual photos this weekend 🥰

Today we lost a beloved member of our family.

Paddington, our soft squish of a boy passed while we slept.

His litters are due any day now, and we were going to take couples photos today.. unfortunately we cannot do so now.

Rest easy little buddy, we love you so much.

We would like to introduce our most recent additions to our program at the rattery.

Tot & Walter. They are both brothers, the same age.

Tot is a Dwarf Siamese Dumbo, Walter is a potential dwarf carrying UK Mink.

We are absolutely smitten with both!

We hope to soon have a dwarf line. ❤️

There is one thing I struggle with, and that's taking proper size comparison photos of hyper babies! I apologize for the poor quality, taking photos of one hyper and busy baby rat is easy, taking photos of multiple, well that's a bit more tricky 😂

However, we have had what appears to be yet another little dwarf pop up and will be doing a test breeding on this line to be absolutely sure.

We have decided to hold him back, and he is hereby known as 'Tot'.

You can see on the last photo how much more slender and short his tail is. The other buck is his brother Walter.

I want to take a moment to talk about something that's been weighing us down a lot this year. I apologize that this is only partially rattery related.

In December of last year, we were harassed by an individual for standing up for something we believe in (I won't go into a lot of detail but we defended a fellow breeder/friend and the LGTB+ community), this harassment extended into our reviews and inbox, where some false and inaccurate claims were made by someone that has never met us or seen any of our beloved rats.

This has lead to an unfortunate decrease in posts from us, because frankly, it's scary to be targeted and harassed.

But we miss posting frequent updates, and we miss posting all the photos.

So we have decided we aren't holding back anymore, and we aren't afraid anymore. Our reviews will be reopening in the next few days (sadly we will likely be unable to remove the false reviews from this individual but will try our best), and you can expect A LOT more photos and posts from us.

We apologize for our lack of activity since then.

I debated posting about this for a long time now, and I think it's important that our wonderful adopters and friends are aware of why we have been more quiet this year.

Due to an increasingly busy family life and some personal medical issues, we have decided to overhaul the way we do adoptions starting AFTER these litters.

We have found that we have been having trouble keeping up with our waitlist, and our email correspondence because of simply how busy we have become in life.

So moving forward from these two litters, we will be posting up photos of adoptable babies once they hit between 5-8 weeks old and allowing those of you that are **already pre-approved** to adopt from us the option to express your interest regardless of your position on our waitlist (again, AFTER these current litters go home), we feel like this would allow people to have more selection on their babies and to take some of the stress off of us as well.
It also would allow us to not worry about people that aren't going to respond to us when we reach out and ask if they are still interested in adopting because we have arrived at their waitlist spot, making the entire process hopefully smoother.

We will also be accepting a non-refundable deposit to hold babies from a specific litter if you wish, or are unavailable for the time when they are available for selection, this will be half the totally adoption amount. 😊

We will still not adopt until at least 8 weeks of age, and rats must still be adopted in at least pairs.

We have been considering this method for a while and now that we have reached the end of our original wait list and all of our current waitlisters are quite new to our list, we feel it is an optimal time to give this a try.

*The rat shown is not available, her new name is Badger and she's got a whole new family that's going to love her, isn't she cute??

Hey everyone, we wanted to apologize for being slightly MIA lately, we unfortunately had to euthanize one of our strictly pet rats after a health decline, and then had a minor family situation pop up.

We thank you for your patience, and can't wait to upload all the photos we have taken during this time period around noon today. 😊
