It is with great sadness to update you that Jenny has peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge Oct 1 at around 11:15pm.

She improved a little bit last night, but her body was just too weak and small to keep fighting. She received cuddles and pets before she left us ❤️

Loss is a very unfortunate but common thing in this line of work. Life is so precious but it can be cruel, and can be taken away from the most vulnerable and innocent beings.

I cannot accept loss without knowing I tried everything I could to save them. I cant just euthanize because its easy and cheaper. I have to do my reasonable best to give them a chance at life. That is who I am and will always be.

It might be a teary Friday for me, but Jenny is not struggling to breathe, she is not in any pain, and she is running up there with Mr. Spooky 😇 she is being cremated and will join Mr. Spooky in my special curio cabinet.

Thank you to everyone who has sent kind messages or comments for Jenny. She knows she is loved ❤️

Hi everyone,

Jenny has had a rough week and is not well. On the weekend, we noticed she was lethargic and on Sunday noticed she was weak and dehydrated.

On Monday she was urgently seen by one of our vets, who diagnosed her with FIP. We had this go around with Georgina, so we picked up medication the very next day to start treatment. By Wednesday, she still had no appetite and her belly was very swollen with fluid. I took her to emergency where they drained 380mL of fluid from her tiny body.

The following day, we had a follow up with our vet for her lack of appetite. When I got there, she was struggling to breathe, so we urgently rushed her back to emergency straight into ICU. There was a chance that she might not survive the drive from the vet to the college but Im so glad she did. 😭

When I left, she was hypothermic, had a low heart rate, and her blood pressure was low.

She is not well, friends. Please send her all the positive vibes and manifest good news for little Jenny. Jenny has already had a rough life from being found with rope around her neck, and her whiskers cut off. Tonight she is in critical condition and I hope she can be stabilized. I will post an update when I have one. ❤️

Shout out to the Saskatoon Police for helping me get this guy some water and get him into a box for transport! ❤️

Living Sky Wildlife Rehab took the bat in for the day, will make sure he is good to fly later and will be released once he is rested up!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

We are still fundraising for our boy Tintin's dental procedure on Sept 17.

Happy Caturday, everyone!

I have got an amazing update for you all regarding Mr. TinTin....he has been at his foster for a little over two months now, and boy has he changed! Please enjoy the photos and videos of Tintin being happy ❤️

He is living his best life as the spoiled king of the house, so spoiled that his diabetes has completely resolved on its own! Stress diabetes is a thing in cats, and he just needed the right environment. 😸

Since becoming less stressed, he has behaviourally done a 180. We use to have to warn you about him when you came in, because he was unpredictable and cranky. Well, now he enjoys being cradled like a baby, wearing fabulous outfits, and having belly rubs. He likes going outside on his harness to enjoy fresh air and sunbathing. He also is a little stinker and likes to get into the trash 😹

As some of you may remember, Tintin had a sudden and large abscess on his face that ruptured. It was clear that the infection came from an infected tooth and that Tintin needed dental work despite having extensive dental work done before (recall his snaggle tooth). Due to his health issues Tintin was seen by a specialist at the WCVM, and will likely be losing 4-5 teeth. His surgery is booked for the 17th of September and the estimate for his procedure is $2,300.

We are collecting donations towards Tintin's surgery. If 2300 generous people donated just $1, that would help improve Tintins quality of life even more than it already has.

Its Caturday Saturday, and these 3 month old babies are coming in hot!!

We have 6 new adorable little beans in the cat room: Applie Pie (f, dark orange), Custard Tart (m, light orange), Scuffle (m, brown & white), Blueberry Muffin (m, Grey tabby), Swiss Roll (f, dilute Torbie) and Rosemary (dark brown tabby).

Every time we turn around theres a tiny kitten zooming at full speed across the room 😂

We are open 12-8pm today, Saturday, July 18 and from 12-6pm tomorrow, Sunday, July 19☀️
