Meet Kleya!

Kleya is a young Boerboel who is our second Sit and Stay dog this month. She's the first client in the new and improved Everyday Dog Day Training program.
In this program, I focus on obedience that works for your family, so it looks different for every client. In Kleya's case we focusing on obedience around the livestock on her family's farm, and respecting the space around her owners, their toddler, and new born.
She already has pretty solid manners around the free roaming chickens and geese on the farm, but she can sometimes get a little over excited , so we're world on solidifying her impulse control, stay, recall, and walking manners.
And for the most part, we'll be don't ask of her obedience and skills off leash, as that's the reality of life on a farm.

Meet Benni! One of my two day trains this month. Benni is Juni's litter mate owner by Juni's owners parents. We'll be doing similar work with Benni as we did with good sister, building a system of communication, starting some basic obedience, and working on exposure and socialization over the next 4 weeks.

Okay, so this video is extremely chaotic and all over the place, but that's okay! It's the content that's important, not my terrible video handling skills, lol.
Augy has been showing some nervousness around vehicles and loud noises recently, and his owner brought it to my attention earlier this week.
I did some work with him on it yesterday, and he was very much avoiding, wanting to run home or freeze and not move. So yesterday I picked him up and walked him past the hardest part, sat with him on the corner for 5 minutes and we watched traffic go by, then we went home.
This is today. He made it to the corner, under his own power, stopping a few times to let him process his surroundings and the noise, then kept going. We only stayed on the corner for a few minutes and then went home again.
I'm very happy with how his confidence grew between one day and the next.
Tomorrow is my last session with both August and Juniper, and while I'm sad to not get to spend everyday with these adorable pups, I'm so excited to chat with the owners about the progress they've made and how to continue building on what we've been working on for the last 4 weeks.

Some socialization and exposure outings with Juniper and August, my two puppy jumpstart clients this month. I don't focus on obedience skills with my puppies. I focus on home manners, building resilience and confidence, curiosity, trust, and not pulling here, there, and everywhere.
This is my last week with these two pups, and it has been a joy to watch them grow into confident, happy puppies.

Haze, the beloved Labrador of a very dear customer and friend, was struck by a vehicle on a rural road and tragically left behind.

Her family and friends searched tirelessly for four agonizing days. Then, against all odds, Haze found the strength to make her own way home. ❤️

Her survival is nothing short of miraculous, but after living with a dislocated leg for so long, Haze now needs complex surgery followed by months of rehabilitation.

We are hosting a fundraiser to help cover the cost of Haze’s care and give this incredibly brave girl the best possible chance at a full recovery.
