🌞 Feel Good Friday: Taffy Is Looking for a Foster to Adopt Home! 🌞

We have some wonderful news to share. Thanks to generous anonymous donors, Taffy's entire heartworm treatment has already been paid for! ❀️

Now, all Taffy needs is a foster to adopt home where she can recover, settle in, and begin her new life with the family she deserves.

Taffy can be a little timid when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. She should do well with other dogs, cats, and older children.

Heartworm disease can sound scary, but it is treatable. Heartworms are spread by mosquitoes and cannot be passed directly from one dog to another. Dogs on heartworm prevention are protected.

The biggest thing Taffy needs during treatment is a calm home where she can relax, enjoy short leash walks, and get plenty of love and rest.

❀️ Heartworm treatment fully sponsored by donors
❀️ Support will be provided throughout her recovery
❀️ Many heartworm positive dogs go on to live long, healthy lives

The hardest part is already covered. Now Taffy just needs a family willing to welcome her into their home, help her heal, and make her a permanent part of the family.

Please contact the shelter directly if you are interested in this amazing opportunity: 519-344-7064

πŸ“’ PLEASE SHARE to help us spread the word about our Community Pet Food Bank and the growing need for support in our community.

Over the past year, it has become increasingly clear just how many families in our community rely on the Sarnia & District Humane Society Pet Food Bank. More and more pet owners are facing difficult financial challenges, and many are struggling to keep food in the bowls of the animals they love.

Many people may not realize that our Community Pet Food Bank exists, but it is a resource that is heavily used within our community. It plays an important role in helping families care for their pets during difficult times and ensuring that beloved animals can remain healthy, happy, and at home.

With the rising cost of living affecting so many households, now more than ever we need to come together as a community and support one another. We believe no family should have to make the heartbreaking choice between feeding themselves and feeding their pet.

We are currently accepting donations of cat and dog food, cat litter, cat and dog toys, and cat and dog treats. Every donation helps us continue providing food and supplies to pets while supporting the people who love them.

The need is growing, and we need your help. Together, we can make a real difference for local pets and the families who care for them.

Dexter may be a couple of years past his prime jumping age, but he can still get some serious air when he's excited about a delicious Bully Bunches treat! These tasty chews were generously donated by Wrigley and Lulu, and we can't thank them enough for their kindness and support.
Every dog in our care has their own special moves when these treats come into view, and Dexter is no exception!

This dapper gentleman is also available for adoption. If you'd like to learn more about Dexter, please contact the shelter at 519-344-7064 or submit an adoption application online. He'd love the chance to show off his moves for his very own family! ❀️

We waited so long for it, and summer weather is finally here! β˜€οΈπŸΎ

As the temperatures rise, it's important to keep an eye on our furry friends and make sure they're staying safe and comfortable in the heat. Check out these five simple tips to help keep your dog cool this summer.

Remember: never leave your dog unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes. Temperatures inside a car can rise quickly and become dangerous.

If you ever see a dog in distress in a hot vehicle, contact Animal Cruelty at 1-833-926-4625 (1-833-9-ANIMAL).

Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy the sunshine with your four legged family members! πŸΆπŸ’™
