We have a new sweet baby coming to the adoption album! This little boy was discovered in a water-filled ditch during the fierce storm we had last week. Montague heard his desperate cries and searched until she found him. Sadly, she was unable to locate the rest of his family, either during the storm or afterwards. Ashley took him in, got him vet care, and surrendered him to us to find a home after he fills out a bit.

Meet Stormy! He's a 6-week-old kitten with the sweetest disposition. He vacillates between crazy kitten zoomies, out-like-the-dead naps, and giving all the sweet baby cuddles you can handle! Stormy is a gentle, lovely kitten who's proven to be super smart, very well-behaved, and we think he will make a fantastic pet. He is very confident and calm and is open and curious to new people. He will do well in a home with kids and, with the right introduction, other cats and dogs. He will be adopted out into a home with an appropriate pet he can befriend.

With the incredible outpour of food donations - tomorrow we will need help moving food from Official Sarnia & District Humane Society to a storage spot locally.
We will be meeting at the Humane Society parking lot at 11 am - if anyone is available to help us load our trucks and van - please join us at that time. Many hands make light work.

And yes, please be assured that very early next week we will begin distributing to local rescues - everyone deserves and needs the help - this community came together for us all ♥️♥️

AMAZING NEWS!

Little Fly, our kitty with some neurological issues, has been adopted into a home with lots of love and a few kitty friends! We are thrilled for him! Thank you to Danielle and her kids for having such huge hearts and so much patience and understanding. We wish Fly a wonderful life and can't wait for updates on how he's doing!

Thanks to Adrienne for fostering this baby with his family. Long, happy, healthy life little boy! 💗

🐱OUR FEATURED GIRL TODAY IS KIT!🐱

Meet Kit-- a sweet, shy girl looking for her human! Kit was rescued along with her siblings Crisp and Twix, who have long ago found their forever homes. Now it’s Kit’s turn! She’s a happy, playful, rambunctious girl — but also quite shy.

To help her blossom, we introduced her to another kitten, Packet, and the two hit it off instantly! Packet is outgoing and social, and he’s been a wonderful, confidence-boosting buddy for Kit. She’s also become fast friends with Franny, one of our young resident cats.

Because Kit really thrives with feline friends, we’d love to see her adopted with Packet or Franny so she has a companion to help her feel safe and supported as she settles into her forever home. She will also be available for adoption into a home with an appropriate, friendly animal she can befriend. Kit will require patience and a bit of time to settle in. She is ready for adoption now! Happy News!! Miah, our mama cat who was taken in with her four kittens has found a wonderful home with her baby Oscar!! We are always so happy to see a mama cat get adopted, and especially so with one of her babies! Thank you to Veronica and her daughter for giving them a loving home. And a huge thank you to Adrienne for giving this little family a safe place to land. Happy long life, Miah and Oscar! 💗

😻TODAY'S FEATURED BOY IS PACKET!😻

Meet Packet, a fun-loving 11-month-old sweetheart who’s bursting with kitten energy and charm! This little guy is the definition of playful — he loves chasing toys, and he’s an absolute pro at snagging flying balls and toy mice mid-air. Acrobat in training? Maybe!

Packet also has a huge heart. He adores the other cats in his foster home and spends his days playing, cuddling, and being everyone’s little buddy. He’s well-socialized, affectionate, and incredibly friendly — the kind of kitten who brings joy wherever he goes.

He would be thrilled to have a forever family of his own, and he’d be even happier if he could go home with his bestie Kit, with whom he shares a special bond.

Want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to our volunteer Aselyn who spearheaded the yard sale and did a great job for the rescue! She raised almost $300, which headed straight to our vet for some kitten care. We'd also like to acknowledge Aselyn's helpers-- Kris, Kayden and Ryan for their support and efforts! 🍪TODAY'S FEATURED CATS ARE SUGAR & SPICE! 🍪

This sweet bonded pair is up for adoption together!

Spice and Sugar came to us after living a life outside. You’d never know they had a rough life, though, as they immediately took to the good life!

When Sugar first meets new people, she is a quiet observer, taking everything in. Once she susses things out, she is playful, curious, affectionate, and so happy just to be near you. Sugar is very attached to her best friend, Spice. She follows her around like a little sister and takes a lot of comfort from having her nearby.

Spice is the older, calmer soul of the pair. She’s incredibly tame, loves lounging around and relaxing, and can often be found perched high up on her cat tree keeping watch over everything below. She also has a deep appreciation for regular food times and has mastered the meal time clock.

🌸 TODAY'S CAT OF THE DAY IS ZOE! 🌸

Meet Zoe, a 2½-year-old spayed gray beauty. She came into our care as a semi-feral cat and has spent a long time in her foster home learning the gentle rhythms of indoor life. Turns out… she approves.

With patience and consistency, Zoe has truly blossomed. She enjoys being petted, will tolerate a quick cuddle, and has discovered some of life’s finest pleasures: treats, food, and more food. Motivation? Achieved.

Zoe gets along well with other calm cats, but active, vocal dogs aren’t really her vibe. We think she’ll shine brightest in a calmer home with fewer animals and more one-on-one time, where her personality can continue to unfold at her own pace.
