🧘‍♀️ We’re Looking for Gently Used Yoga Mats! 🧘‍♂️

Our team is currently looking for gently used yoga mats to help support our orthopedic surgeries and provide extra comfort for our patients during their care and recovery.

If you have one (or a few!) that you’re no longer using, we would greatly appreciate the donation.

They can be dropped off during our open hours at the front desk! Thanks!

Please join us in welcoming our newest veterinarian, Dr. Megan Turple to the SilverFox family! 🩺🐾

Dr. Megan has been practicing veterinary medicine for the past 8 years and is excited to be joining the team and becoming part of the Salisbury community. She’s passionate about caring for animals and looks forward to meeting all of our wonderful clients and patients!

When she’s not at the clinic, Megan enjoys baking, spending time with her family, and making memories with her two kids. She also loves hanging out with her furry family — her dog and her two cats, Pickles and Pepperoni. 🐶🐱

We’re so excited to have her at SilverFox and can’t wait for everyone to meet her! Feel free to say hello and give her a warm welcome in the comments below 💚

We have some EXCITING NEWS to share! In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be welcoming a new veterinarian to our team!!!

Over the past while, we know it’s been frustrating at times to have appointments booked farther out than usual. It’s been just as difficult on our end, as we truly want to be there for our patients when they need us most. Your pets are like family to us, and it’s always been our priority to provide timely, compassionate care.

Bringing a new doctor on board will help us better meet the needs of our community, reduce wait times, and ensure we can continue to support both our longtime clients and their beloved pets.

We’re so grateful for your patience, understanding, and trust in us. We’re also always happy to welcome new clients into our clinic family.

Stay tuned for an introduction to our newest team member soon—we can’t wait for you to meet them!

Porcupine Quill Season Is Here! 🐾

These sweet pups recently visited us after an unfortunate run-in with a porcupine! Porcupine quills can be very painful and serious for pets.

Why quills are dangerous:
• Quills can embed deeply in the skin
• They can continue to work their way inward over time and cause life-threatening issues.
• They can break off under the skin and cause infection or abscesses
• Quills near the eyes, mouth, chest, or joints are especially concerning

Prevention tips:
• Keep dogs leashed on walks, especially at dusk/dawn
• Watch around wooded areas, brush piles, and trails
• Practice a reliable recall command

Porcupines may be slow, but they definitely know how to defend themselves!

We love seeing all of your adorable pets come through our doors 🐾

To keep everyone safe (patients, clients, and our team), we kindly ask that,
🐶 All dogs are kept on a leash at all times and retractable leashes are locked nice and short
🐱 All cats are safely tucked into a carrier

We know some pets think they’re the main character and ready to make new friends the second they walk in… but not every visitor feels the same way!

A little extra control goes a long way in keeping visits calm, safe, and stress-free for everyone. Thank you for helping us make our clinic a happy place for all! 🐾
