CE CHAT EST AU REFUGE/ THIS CAT IS AT THE SHELTER

CHEDDAR est un ravissant minet en très bonne santé qui a approximativement 3 à 4 ans. Il saura vous séduire avec son attrayant pelage blanc & roux qui se termine par une belle queue tigrée rousse, son adorable petit nez rose et ses magnifiques yeux pétillants au regard espiègle et taquin.

Le captivant jeune homme est au refuge depuis le 28 mai 2026 après avoir été trouvé -visiblement confus et désemparé- sur le terrain de la SPCA Montérégie. Malheureusement, certaines gens viennent abandonner leurs animaux en les "dompant" au lieu de nous contacter pour une prise en charge. Dès son arrivée, nous avons constaté avec joie que CHEDDAR était très affectueux et sociable avec les humains et facilement manipulable - c'est triste qu'il ait été jeté dehors de la sorte mais on se console en pensant qu'il est maintenant en sécurité avec nous ! CHEDDAR a été stérilisé et détartré par notre vétérinaire et le superbe garçon est maintenant prêt à trouver sa famille pour la vie.

Dorénavant un félin exclusivement d'intérieur, CHEDDAR est curieux, alerte, agile et encore enjoué. Au refuge, CHEDDAR vient tout récemment d'être transféré dans la salle avec les autres chats attendant leur adoption, alors il est un peu difficile de savoir s'il est très ou moyennement actif car il doit s'ajuster à son nouvel environnement et ses nouveaux colocataires. Quand on le sortait de sa cage pour qu'il puisse se dégourdir, le chéri avait encore tendance à se cacher car les jappements des chiens et les bruits et activités autour de lui, semblait lui faire peur. Toutefois, dans la salle, le petit coquin est très content de pouvoir bouger et adore regarder dehors pour observer les oiseaux. Le mignon semble apprécier énormément les coussins moelleux pour relaxer et faire la sieste. Lui offrir un bel arbre a chat place près d'une fenêtre ou de la porte patio dans sa nouvelle demeure devrait aussi lui plaire énormément. En cage, CHEDDAR était très impatient d'en sortir - Il nous accrochait avec sa patte pour attirer notre attention pour nous toucher au passage 🙂 C'est un chat tout simplement adorable qui a clairement besoin d'interactions régulières avec les gens. CHEDDAR semble aussi ne pas être très vocal; il lui arrive de miauler pour faire savoir qu'il veut des caresses ou s'il voit le sac de bonbons pour chats !

Comme CHEDDAR apprécie la présence humaine, une fois qu'il a fait votre connaissance, il viendra vous voir pour avoir un peu de tendresse et quémander des caresses et des succulentes gâteries aussi :) CHEDDAR accepte des marques d'affection du personnel et des bénévoles avec grand plaisir. Le gentil moustachu adore se coucher près de vous pour être cajolé et bécoté ; par contre s'il est trop stimulé, il a tendance à mordiller vos mains (sans agressivité mais il peut s'emporter parfois). Ce comportement n'est pas surprenant venant d'un jeune mâle récemment stérilisé et est facilement corrigible. Une fois dans une demeure moins stressante et plus conviviale, vous pourrez découvrir toutes les facettes de son agréable personnalité, lui inculquer certaines règles mais surtout créer un solide et durable lien de confiance et affectif avec l'affable CHEDDAR.

Notez que CHEDDAR a un gros appétit...peut-être a-t-il manqué de nourriture et veut s'assurer de profiter de ce qu'on lui offre ? Ainsi, on a constaté que monsieur vide son plat de croquettes rapidement (et mange trop rapidement parfois et les régurgite) alors nous suggérons dans sa nouvelle demeure de gérer les quantités données et idéalement lui fournir un plat "ralentisseur" ou des jeux interactifs ou vous pouvez insérer des croquettes pour qu'il puisse les manger mais à un rythme plus lent.

CHEDDAR sera heureux dans un foyer accueillant, stimulant et chaleureux avec des adoptants bienveillants qui prendront le temps de lui parler et de s'occuper de lui en lui donnant énormément d'amour. L'attachant rescapé peut vivre dans une maisonnée avec des grands enfants respectueux des animaux. Ne connaissant rien de son passé et de ses habitudes, nous évaluons présentement comment CHEDDAR se comporte avec les autres chats pour déterminer s'il est très dominant ou plutôt tolérant et amical avec ses nouveaux copains félins. Ainsi, si vous avez déjà un ou des chats à la maison ou un chien habitué aux chats, prévoyez une période d'intégration et des introductions très graduelles afin d'assurer une cohabitation réussie, minimisant ainsi les situations stressantes qui pourraient nuire à sa santé et à son épanouissement.

Le délicieux CHEDDAR a tout pour devenir un compagnon tendre et loyal pour de nombreuses années. Avec son énergie positive, le gentil CHEDDAR saura apporter chaleur et joie à son futur foyer. Il attend avec espoir que quelqu'un reconnaitra tout l'amour qu'il a à offrir.

CHEDDAR is a handsome kitty in very good health and approximately 3 to 4 years old. He’ll win you over with his striking white-and-orange coat ending in a beautiful orange tabby tail, his adorable little pink nose, and his sparkling eyes filled with a playful, mischievous glimmer.

This captivating young man has been at the shelter since May 28, 2026, after being found—clearly confused and distressed—on the SPCA Montérégie property. Sadly, some people abandon their animals by simply “dumping” them instead of contacting us for proper intake. From the moment he arrived, we were relieved to see that CHEDDAR was extremely affectionate, social with humans, and easy to handle. It breaks our hearts that he was thrown outside like that, but we take comfort in knowing he is now safe with us. CHEDDAR has since been neutered and had a dental cleaning by our veterinarian, and this wonderful boy is now ready to find his forever family.

Now an exclusively indoor cat, CHEDDAR is curious, alert, agile, and still quite playful. At the shelter, CHEDDAR was recently transferred to the communal room with the other adoptable cats, so it’s a bit difficult to determine whether he is very active or moderately active—he’s still adjusting to his new environment and new feline roommates. When we used to take him out of his cage to stretch his legs, the sweetheart often hid, as the barking dogs and surrounding noises seemed to frighten him. However, in the communal room, this little rascal is delighted to have space to move around and loves watching the birds outside. He also seems to greatly enjoy soft, cozy cushions for relaxing and napping. Offering him a nice cat tree placed near a window or patio door in his new home would surely make him very happy. In his cage, CHEDDAR was always eager to come out—he would hook us gently with his paw to get our attention as we walked by 🙂 He is simply an adorable cat who clearly needs regular interaction with people. CHEDDAR also doesn’t seem to be very vocal; he meows occasionally to let you know he wants affection or when he spots the bag of cat treats!

Because CHEDDAR enjoys human company, once he gets to know you, he will come over to ask for tenderness, pets, and of course, delicious treats :) CHEDDAR happily accepts affection from staff and volunteers. This sweet whiskered fellow loves lying next to you to be cuddled and kissed; however, if overstimulated, he may gently nibble your hands (never aggressively, but he can get carried away). This behavior is not unusual for a young male recently neutered and can be corrected. Once he settles into a calmer, more nurturing home, you’ll be able to discover all the facets of his lovely personality, teach him a few household rules, and—most importantly—build a strong, lasting bond of trust and affection with the amiable CHEDDAR.

Please note that CHEDDAR has a big appetite…perhaps he lacked food in the past and now wants to make sure he enjoys every meal ? We’ve noticed that he empties his bowl quickly (and sometimes eats too fast and regurgitates), so in his new dwellings we recommend managing his portions and ideally providing a slow-feeder bowl or interactive food games where you can insert kibble to encourage slower eating.

CHEDDAR will thrive in a warm, stimulating, and welcoming home with caring adopters who will take the time to talk to him, look after him, and shower him with love. This endearing rescue boy can live in a household with older children who are respectful of animals. Since we know nothing about his past or habits, we are currently evaluating how CHEDDAR behaves with other cats to determine whether he is dominant, tolerant, or friendly with new feline companions. If you already have one or more cats at home—or a dog who is used to living with cats—please plan for a very gradual introduction period to ensure a smooth transition and minimize stress that could affect his well‑being.

The delightful CHEDDAR has everything it takes to become a tender and loyal companion for many years to come. With his positive energy, sweet CHEDDAR will bring warmth and joy to his future home. He waits with hope for someone who will recognize all the love he has to offer.

ORION est un attendrissant chaton né autour du 15 mars 2026, au joli pelage pelucheux bleu-gris et aux surprenants yeux gris-dorés - vifs et pétillants. Il est en excellente santé. Doté d'une personnalité tendre et mielleuse, le gentil minet saura vous conquérir dans un battement de cœur.

ORION et son frère OURSON #10891 seraient nés chez une dame qui les a nourris, soignés et socialisés jusqu'à ce qu'elle nous les emmène au refuge à la fin mai 2026. Les petits coquins étaient un peu effrayés à leur arrivée mais ils ont surmonté leurs craintes et se sont laissé flatter et manipuler par le personnel et bénévoles dès les premiers jours.

Une fois stérilisés, ORION et son frangin ont été placés dans la salle commune ou habitent une vingtaine de chats adultes attendant leur adoption. Un peu confus et désemparé par ce changement d'environnement, le charmant bambin s'est tout de même rapidement adapté à sa nouvelle réalité grâce à la présence rassurante de son frérot. Les deux attendent leur adoption, que nous espérons sera très prochainement.

Le charmant ORION, comme tous les chatons de son âge, a de l'énergie et aime courir, sauter et grimper. Le bout de chou est très curieux et enjoué, il s'amuse avec ses jouets et explore la salle avec exubérance et joie. On le voit escalader les arbres à chats avec facilité; ORION aime aussi observer la nature - avec le grand "catio" adjacent à la salle des chats, il adore chasser les mouches 🙂 Cependant, il doit naviguer parmi ses congénères et il lui arrive de se faire rabrouer/repousser par les autres chats plus dominants ou moins sociables. ORION est confiant et courageux, mais à son jeune âge, sa place est dans un foyer douillet et aimant !

ORION aime se faire flatter et caresser; on peut le manipuler aisément et quand on le bécote et le rassure en lui chuchotant des mots doux, il ronronne tout bas. Il ne reste que quelques instants dans vos bras - le chéri est impatient d'aller s'amuser. Quand c'est l'heure des friandises, l'espiègle ORION court après ses bonbons...et les dévore avec appétit ! Une fois habitué à vous, ce bel ange gris vous donnera tout son cœur et son affection.

De plus, comme ORION est très jeune, il pourrait probablement s'adapter dans une maisonnée avec un chien doux, habitué à vivre avec les chats.

ORION is a tender kitten born around March 15, 2026, with a plush blueish-grey coat and surprising greyish-gold eyes — bright and sparkling. He is in excellent health. With his tender, super sweet personality, this friendly kitty will capture your heart instantly.

ORION and his brother OURSON #10891 were likely born at a lady’s home; she fed them, cared for them, and socialized them until she brought them to the shelter at the end of May 2026. The two little rascals were a bit frightened when they arrived, but they quickly overcame their worries and allowed the staff and volunteers to pet and handle them within the first few days.

Once they were neutered, ORION and his brother were moved into the communal room, where about twenty adult cats live while waiting for adoption. A bit confused and unsettled by this new environment, the charming youngster adapted quickly thanks to the reassuring presence of his sibling. Both are now waiting for their forever homes — and we hope that day comes very soon.

The charming ORION, like all kittens his age, is full of energy and loves to run, jump, and climb. This sweetie is curious and playful; he enjoys his toys and explores the room with enthusiasm and joy. You’ll see him climbing cat trees with ease; ORION also loves watching nature — with the large “catio” adjacent to the cat room, he delights in chasing flies 🙂 However, he must navigate around his feline roommates, and sometimes he gets scolded or pushed away by more dominant or less sociable cats. ORION is confident and brave, but at his young age, he truly belongs in a cozy, loving home.

Je suis un débonnaire gentleman félin qui fêtera ses 6 ans à la mi-août et je suis en très bonne santé. Je suis un grand garçon athlétique, au corps long, élancé et haut sur pattes avec un beau pelage " tabby classique" et aux captivants yeux verts expressifs et étincelants. Mais bien plus important que l'apparence, je veux que vous sachiez que je possède une nature très affectueuse envers les humains alors *** Avis aux intéressés...je suis à la recherche d'adoptants aimants et attentionnés qui me dorloteront abondamment pour le reste de ma vie ! ***

Je me suis retrouvé au refuge à la mi-mai 2026, après avoir été abandonné par ma famille. Je vivais paisiblement avec une autre ch**te et un chien depuis que j'étais un jeune chaton et soudainement tout ce que je connaissais, mon chez moi, mes humains et ma compagne féline...tout cela est disparu en un instant 🙁. On m'a dit que ma copine est allée dans une autre demeure mais qu'ils ne pouvaient pas nous prendre tous les deux. J'étais extrêmement triste et complètement déboussolé à mon arrivée...mais je fais de mon mieux pour ne pas perdre espoir qu'un jour, je connaîtrai le bonheur à nouveau.

Je me décrirais comme un minet intelligent et chaleureux...quoique je puisse paraître un peu réservé aux premiers abords. L'équipe au refuge dit de moi que je suis un chat des plus aimable, sociable et très attachant :) Je possède un caractère très agréable car je suis curieux, agile, modérément actif, gentil comme tout et facile à vivre. Je suis un chat au tempérament très équilibré - je suis parfois un petit pot de colle qui sera votre complice au quotidien mais je suis aussi capable d'être plus indépendant à mes heures et vous vous demanderez ou est-ce que je peux bien être... J'utilise bien les griffoirs et la litière. Je ne suis pas très vocal non plus. Si vous installez un bel arbre à chat près d'une grande fenêtre ou de la porte patio, je serai très heureux de pouvoir observer les oiseaux et la nature. Je raffole des succulentes gâteries - qu'elles soient croquantes ou en tubes crémeux...je vous dévore ça en un rien de temps :) A vrai dire et en toute humilité, je n'ai pas vraiment de défauts !

Au refuge, il y a plein d'autres chats autour de moi et je les côtoie pacifiquement mais je m'ennuie beaucoup car j'aime énormément être avec les gens - il me fera grand plaisir de vous tenir compagnie dans ma nouvelle demeure. Cela me réconfortera aussi de savoir que quelqu'un est là pour moi. Pour le moment, j'attends patiemment d'être choisi et je m'installe paisiblement dans un boîtier d'arbre à chat ou sur une tablette en hauteur pour faire de longues siestes, en toute quiétude. Lorsque quelqu'un entre dans la salle, je suis super content de l'accueillir et de me coller sur lui/elle pour me faire flatter et caresser longuement. Je suis confortable dans vos bras quelques instants mais je préfère me poser sur vos genoux ou à côté de vous pour me faire câliner. J'ai aussi un côté très charmeur et avec mon regard séducteur, je vous fixe dans les yeux pour vous laisser savoir combien je tiens à vous. La nuit, si vous acceptez, j'aimerais dormir avec vous sur votre lit et vous pourrez alors m'entendre ronronner de satisfaction et de gratitude.

Maintenant que je suis devenu un chat exclusivement d'intérieur, je crois sincèrement que je pourrai m'adapter rapidement dans mon nouvel environnement si vous êtes bienveillant envers moi et avez du temps de qualité à m'accorder. Étant doux et tolérant, je suis confortable en présence des enfants en autant qu'ils sont respectueux avec moi et qu'ils ne sont pas trop bruyants et brusques autour de moi. Dans mon ancienne famille, je vivais avec une ch**te du même âge que moi et je faisais vraiment bon ménage avec elle ainsi qu'avec le chien de la maisonnée. Donc, dans ma future famille, je crois que je pourrai m'adapter si vous avez déjà un ou 2 chats amicaux et non-dominants et probablement aussi avec un chien doux, habitué aux félins. L'important pour moi c'est de recevoir beaucoup d'amour 🙂

But far more important than my appearance, I want you to know that I have a deeply affectionate nature toward humans, so ****Attention all interested adopters… I am looking for loving, caring people who will shower me with affection for the rest of my life!***

I arrived at the shelter in mid‑May 2026 after being abandoned by my family. I had lived peacefully with another cat and a dog ever since I was a young kitten, and suddenly everything I knew — my home, my humans, my feline companion — disappeared in an instant. I was told that my girlfriend found a new place to stay but that they couldn't take both of us 🙁 I was told that my girlfriend found a new home but that they couldn't take both of us. I was extremely sad and completely disoriented when I arrived… but I'm doing my best not to lose hope that one day, happiness will find me again.

I would describe myself as an intelligent and warm‑hearted boy… although I may seem a little reserved at first glance. The shelter team says I am a very sweet, sociable, and truly endearing cat :) I have a wonderfully pleasant temperament: I’m curious, agile, moderately active, gentle, and easygoing. I’m a very well‑balanced kitty — sometimes a little lovebug who will be your sidekick on a daily basis, but also capable of being more independent at times, leaving you wondering where can I be hiding. I use my scratching posts and litter box diligently. I’m not very vocal either. If you set up a nice cat tree near a big window or patio door, I’ll be thrilled to watch the birds and the world outside. I adore delicious treats — crunchy ones or creamy tubes… I devour them in seconds :) Honestly, and with all humility, I don’t really have any flaws !

At the shelter, there are many other cats around me and I coexist peacefully with them, but I get very lonely because I love being with people — it will be my pleasure to keep you company in my new home. It will also comfort me to know that someone is there for me. For now, I wait patiently to be chosen, resting quietly in a cubby of the cat tree or on a high shelf where I can enjoy long, peaceful naps. When someone enters the room, I’m so happy to greet them and snuggle up for long, gentle petting sessions. I’m comfortable being held for a short time, but I prefer settling on your lap or right beside you to enjoy cuddles. I also have a charming side — with my mesmerizing gaze, I look right into your eyes to show you how much you mean to me. At night, if you allow it, I would love to sleep with you on your bed, and you’ll hear me purr with satisfaction and gratitude.

Now that I am an exclusively indoor cat, I truly believe I will adapt quickly to my new environment if you are good to me and have quality time to share. Being gentle and tolerant, I am comfortable around children as long as they are respectful and not too loud or rough. In my previous home, I lived with a female cat my age and got along wonderfully with her, as well as with the family dog. So in my future household, I believe I could adapt if you already have one or two friendly, non‑dominant cats, and probably also a gentle canine who is used to living with felines. What matters most to me is receiving lots of love :)
