Colin joined StaynPlay after volunteering at a grooming studio for a couple of weeks and realizing he wanted something more. Since then, he has nearly finished his first dog trainer certification course, begun serious grooming training with Leading Edge Show Academy, and spent a one-on-one afternoon with master groomer David Scheirs to take his bathing and grooming skills to the next level. This summer, he also worked with several Havanese breeders to learn the fine art of bathing.

And he’s just getting started. Collin is registered for the True North Grooming Seminars and Workshops this November at the International Centre in Mississauga, where some of the industry’s best gather for training, mentoring and, of course, the grooming competition.

We’re so happy Collin chose StaynPlay to share his energy and passion for dogs!

It’s hard to believe that only six months ago we signed the lease on StaynPlay Dog Daycare — back when this picture was taken. After two years of planning that had us sure we were ready for anything. Something we find funny now. We’ve been open for just over twelve weeks, and the daycare has already evolved much more than we originally envisioned. In that short time we’ve met so many wonderful people. We want to thank everyone who’s become part of our journey: the pet parents who’ve supported us and been so kind, and the local community that has had nothing but good to say. You’ve made these first few months special for all of us who work here. You will always hold a special spot in our hearts.
