Can we just take a minute to appreciate this face? 🥰🐾

This beautiful girl was one of my students yesterday, and yes, she's every bit as sweet as she looks!

One of the things I love about working with dogs is that no two are alike. Different personalities, different challenges, different ways of learning.

And that's exactly why training shouldn't be one-size-fits-all.

It's not about creating a perfectly obedient robot. It's about building communication, setting clear expectations, and helping dogs and their people understand each other a little better.

Besides, how am I supposed to get any work done when they look at me like this? 😂

I’ve got two spots left for dog training assessments.
If you’ve been meaning to reach out because something with your dog just isn’t working, this is your nudge.
Reactivity, behaviour issues, puppy chaos, manners, or you just need someone to come in, look at what’s actually happening and help you figure out where to start.

Okay, I’m opening up a few assessment appointments. 🐾

There’s a real need out there right now. I’m getting a lot of messages from people who need help with their dogs but aren’t sure where to start or what they actually need.

My regular training schedule is pretty full, but I want to make room for a handful of one-time assessment sessions.

I’ll come meet you and your dog, see what’s actually going on, and give you some practical things to start working on right away.

No commitment to a training package. Just real help and a place to start.

Fourth and final session for Gabby & Phantom last night. ❤️

And seriously... just look at them.
Out in the real world at King Square. Connected. Working together. Gabby reading Phantom, Phantom checking in with Gabby, and both of them handling everything going on around them.

They've made such amazing progress in just four sessions, and Gabby has put the work in between sessions to make that happen.

They've decided to keep going so we can really nail these skills and build on everything they've accomplished so far.
This is what it's all about.

🐾 I have room for TWO new training clients.

My training schedule has gotten pretty damn full, but I have space to take on two new private clients right now.

Leash pulling. Reactivity. Recall that disappears the second the leash comes off. Puppy chaos. Manners that apparently left the building. 😅

Whatever you're struggling with, we'll figure out what's actually happening and build a plan that works in real life.

Once these two spots are filled, I'm closing new-client bookings again for now.

Working with a reactive dog isn't a straight line.

Some days I'm going to tell you to give your dog more space. Other days I'm going to tell you to stay right where you are. And sometimes we're getting the hell out of there because your dog is done for the day.

The hard part is knowing the difference.

There isn't one answer that works every time. You have to be able to look at the dog in front of you and make a decision based on what they're telling you in that moment.

Facebook memories gave me these this morning 😂

11 years ago, at our after-party after we got home from getting married in Scotland. We’d just cut our “second” wedding cake and, as tradition dictates, immediately tried to shove it in each other’s faces.

These pictures make me laugh because this is still us.

Older, greyer, considerably more dog hair in our lives, but still completely ridiculous together.

If you’ve trained with me for any length of time, you probably already know I’m not particularly good at being serious for too long either. 😂

There are days I look at my life and realize this was probably inevitable.

I have spent an unreasonable number of years talking about dogs, watching dogs, training dogs, worrying about dogs, driving around with dogs and rearranging my entire life around dogs.

And apparently now they drive the fu***ng Jeep too.

Honestly, at this point I just work here.🤣
