We know when your baby is born.

We know when someone you love dies.

We know when you get married, get divorced, move into a new house, start a new job, or finally get that haircut you've been talking about for six months.

And yes... we know your dog's name.

Because around here, you're not just dropping your dog off and driving away.

After enough years, enough conversations at pickup, enough muddy paws and life updates, people stop feeling like clients.
They start feeling like people we genuinely care about.

Some of the dogs in our daycare have been coming here for almost a decade.
That's not because we're the fanciest daycare in town.
It's because when we ask how you're doing, we actually give a damn about the answer.

We're accepting a select few new daycare dogs.

If you're looking for more than just somewhere to leave your dog for the day, send us a message.

You don't need a 10 week class full of chaos to learn how to have enjoyable walks with your dog

The pulling, embarrassment, sore shoulders have done you in. It's easier to just take the dog out for quick potty breaks than to gear up physically and emotionally for what you already know is likely to be a s**t show.

In my 1:1 training I don't just toss random, cookie cutter advice at you and send you on your way. I walk every step with you from teaching you how to communicate clearly with the dog in front of you. How to move your body to help guide your dog. I'll show you where the gaps are and help you fix them.

No magic. No bulls**t. No " thos works for every dog and owner".

If walks are a hell you've been avoiding, you need to DM me "Training"

I have a few spots left for June

“How does a room full of dogs end up like this by the afternoon?” 😂

This is always the part people don’t expect.

People picture daycare as nonstop chaos all day long. Dogs bouncing around, barking, wrestling, acting ridiculous for 8 hours straight.

But honestly, when the group is right, they eventually settle into each other. They burn energy, figure out the flow of the group, and start relaxing instead of staying hyped up all day.

And eventually half the room is snoring.

Honestly, this is one of my favourite things to watch here because it tells me way more than the wild play sessions do.

Dogs don’t fully relax and pass out beside each other if they don’t feel safe.

And this is exactly why I’m careful about the dogs we bring into our daycare group.

We’re accepting a select few new daycare dogs right now, but fit matters here. A lot.

If you’re looking for a structured, safe group where your dog can socialize, learn how to settle, and come home tired in the best possible way, send us a message 🐾

This picture kinda says everything I’d want people to know about our daycare.

Not the fancy stuff. Not marketing. Not “high energy group play” buzzwords.

Just dogs that feel comfortable here.

Dogs that know us. Dogs that trust us. Dogs that can fully relax beside each other instead of spending all day overstimulated and out of their minds.

I care a stupid amount about these dogs. My staff does too. We notice when they’re off, tired, overwhelmed, extra clingy, extra spicy, whatever. You get to know dogs really well when you spend years with them.

And honestly, I think that’s why so many of them keep coming back year after year. 🖤

We’ve got a few daycare spots opening up if your dog needs this kind of place.

Penny.
Five years apart.

Twice a week. Every week. For almost her whole life.

And this is the part people don’t really think about when they’re looking for daycare.

Dogs don’t keep dragging their humans through the parking lot for seven years if they’re stressed every time they come here. Owners don’t keep showing up for seven years if they don’t trust the people handling their dogs.

These dogs grow up here. We know their habits, their drama, their best friends, the dogs they avoid, the ones that hit the gate at full speed like they pay rent.

There’s something really cool about watching a dog go from absolute puppy chaos to a grey-faced old soul and realizing you got to be part of almost their whole life.

We’re currently accepting a select few new daycare dogs at Confident Canines.
If you’re looking for experienced handling, structure, and a place where your dog is actually known instead of just managed, send us a message.

One thing I’ve learned after 11 years of daycare is that tired dogs and fulfilled dogs are not always the same thing.

Some dogs need to sprint. Some need structure. Some need breaks before they turn into furry little crackheads. 😂

A lot of what we do here actually has very little to do with “just letting dogs play.”

We’re constantly watching energy, movement, play styles, arousal levels, group dynamics, who needs a breather, who needs confidence, who needs space, and who’s about 2 seconds away from making a bad life choice.

It looks chaotic from the outside sometimes. But there’s actually a lot of intention behind a well-run group of dogs.

And honestly? One of my favourite parts of this job is still watching dogs absolutely lose their minds when they hit the parking lot because they’re so excited to come in.

That never really gets old.

If you’ve been looking for daycare around Saint John and want a place that understands dogs beyond “sit” and “paw,” send us a message and we’ll see if your dog is a good fit for the group.
