July 30 of the 365 Days of Collar Challenge - Collar 242: Friends

Today is International Day of Friendship, so this one had to be the Friends collar.

Friends was one of those shows that kept me company during the late nights when Sprout was a puppy. While I was up feeding him, he’d eat and I’d watch an episode, slowly making our way through the series together. (his first time, my 300th)

Today is National Rain Day, and honestly, this holiday feels like it was made for me. 😂

If you invite Sarah somewhere, you might want to check the forecast first.

I have a strange talent for bringing a flood amount of rain wherever I go. It seems like anything remotely significant is accompanied by heavy precipitation.

Big event? Rain.
Important weekend? Rain.
Something we’ve been planning forever? Better pack an umbrella.

At this point, I’m not sure if I bring the rain or if the rain just knows where I’m going.

Either way, if Sarah is on the guest list…

Bring an umbrella. Luckily Sprout doesn’t mind!

Today’s collar is for a very special reason because we were celebrating Hudson’s 14th birthday! 🎉

Fourteen years of being a GSP, fourteen years of adventures, bird dog life, personality, and becoming such an important part of the lives around him. That’s a milestone worth celebrating properly.

July 27 of the 365 Days of Collar Challenge - Collar 239: When Life Gives You Lemons 💛

Apparently one lemon collar wasn’t enough.

After circling back to National Lemon Day, I decided we might as well keep the lemon theme rolling for another day.

This little lemon-inspired bow tie seemed like the perfect choice, especially because today is National Love Is Kind Day. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned from dogs, it’s that love really can be that simple. It’s showing up. It’s being happy to see someone. It’s sharing an adventure. It’s sitting beside you without needing anything in return.

And then there’s Sprout, who has a particular talent for making people smile just by existing.

July 26 of the 365 Days of Collar Challenge - Collar 238 :🍋 A Little Lemon Day

We missed National Lemon Day back on July 23… but there was absolutely NO way I was letting that one slip by.

National Lemon Day was created in 2024 to celebrate the lemon, its bright citrusy flavor, summertime goodness, and a little bit of lemon history. And apparently July 23 was deemed the perfect day to celebrate this cheerful yellow fruit.

Which brings us to one of my favorite lemons…

Sprout. 💛

He’s a lemon English Pointer, so this holiday feels almost personally assigned to him. When I just jumped his dad Rye, and two brothers, Vulson & Proof, we were,”Team Lemon”.

When life gives you lemons… you make a Sprout.

July 25 is Christmas in July, a fun tradition that reminds us it’s never the wrong time to celebrate the joy, warmth, and memories that the holiday season brings.

🎄 It’s the halfway point to Christmas. July 25 is exactly five months before December 25, making it a fun excuse to celebrate early.
❄️ It began as a summer novelty. One of the earliest recorded celebrations was at a girls’ camp in North Carolina in 1933, where they decorated trees, exchanged gifts, and sang Christmas carols in the middle of summer.

Today is National Tequila Day, a celebration of one of Mexico’s most iconic spirits, crafted from the blue agave plant.

Sprout may not be raising a margarita, but he was more than happy to celebrate in his festive Mexican-themed bow tie!!! I promise he’s happy! He was concentrating on keeping his little hat in place.

🌱 July 23 of the 365 Days of Collar Challenge - Collar 235: Happy Sprout Day! 🐾💚 FabLabs Collars

Today is one of my favorite days of the year… Sprout Day!

A day dedicated to the little lemon pointer who somehow manages to make every adventure better, every accomplishment sweeter, and every ordinary day a little more memorable.

Whether he’s flying off the dock, posing (sometimes reluctantly) for another collar photo, exploring a new trail, or simply making me laugh with his goofy personality, Sprout has a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he meets.

So today, we celebrate Sprout. Thank you for every smile, every adventure, every ribbon, every cuddle, and every unforgettable memory.

Happy Sprout Day, buddy. Here’s to many more adventures together. 💚🐾

🌱 July 22 of the 365 Days of Collar Challenge - Collar 234: Sprout Day Begins! 🐾

Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year… Sprout Day!

Before we celebrate, I thought today would be the perfect time to look back at the dog behind the challenge.

Sprout is so much more than the face of 365 different collars. He’s my adventure buddy, my shadow, my biggest source of laughter, and the reason so many of these memories exist in the first place. Whether we’re training, dock diving, exploring somewhere new, or simply relaxing at home, he somehow makes every day a little brighter.

What started as a fun idea to wear a different collar every day has become a collection of stories, adventures, and memories that I’ll always treasure.

Tomorrow we celebrate the dog who inspired it all… Happy Sprout Day! 🌱💚🐾
