Two powerful therapies. One goal: helping your dog heal, move and feel better.

You may already be familiar with LASER therapy, but we’re excited to now also offer Focused ESWT (Shock Wave) Therapy at the NCCC.

While both therapies can help reduce pain and support healing, they work in different ways:

LASER THERAPY uses therapeutic infrared light to stimulate cellular activity, helping reduce pain and inflammation while supporting the body’s natural healing processes. It can be used across broader treatment areas and for a variety of acute and chronic conditions.

FOCUSED SHOCK WAVE THERAPY uses high-energy acoustic waves to deliver a targeted mechanical stimulus at a specific depth and location. This makes it particularly useful for chronic, stubborn or deeper tissue conditions, including osteoarthritis, tendinopathies, trigger points and certain ligament injuries.

So which one is better? Neither! They simply work differently — and that’s what makes them such a powerful combination.

Depending on your dog’s condition and goals, we may recommend LASER, Focused Shock Wave Therapy, or both as part of a customized rehabilitation plan.

Contact us to find out if Focused Shock Wave Therapy could be right for your dog.

Happy 13th Birthday Fiona!!! Keep up the good work!!

Exercises aren’t only for the gym! Gemma is showing us that you can sneak those exercises in pretty much anywhere, even while waiting for bath time!

One of the things we love about our treatment plans is that they often include an at-home exercise program tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Because consistency is key, and those little exercises add up!

Stairs, the living room, the backyard, the driveway… there are lots of ways to turn everyday spaces into opportunities to work on strength, balance, mobility and confidence.

Think outside the gym, rehab can happen anywhere! Way to go, Gemma!

So... now that it's here, what exactly is it?

Focused Shock Wave Therapy (f-ESWT) is a non-invasive, evidence-based treatment that uses focused acoustic energy to stimulate the body's natural healing response. It can help:
•Speed up soft tissue healing
•Reduce pain and inflammation
•Improve mobility and function
•Support recovery from tendon, ligament, and muscle injuries

Every treatment is tailored to your dog's specific condition, making it a powerful addition to their personalized rehabilitation plan.

We're excited to bring this advanced technology to our patients and can't wait to help even more dogs get back to doing what they love.

Have questions or wonder if focused shock wave therapy could benefit your dog? Reach out to our team, we're happy to help!

The secret is finally out!

We're thrilled to introduce Focused Shockwave Therapy to the NCCC!

This next-generation, focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy uses precisely targeted acoustic shock waves to stimulate the body's natural healing response. It is a non-invasive treatment that can help support recovery from:

•Osteoarthritis
•Tendon and ligament injuries
•Muscle injuries
•Chronic pain
•Delayed tissue healing

What makes this technology so exciting is its precision. It delivers focused therapy at multiple treatment depths while remaining quiet and comfortable for patients.

We'll be sharing videos, FAQs, treatment information, and real patient stories over the coming weeks.
