Has anyone seen Dusty the cat in the Union Street area? She has not returned home since Thursday or Friday. She is a small black cat that has, probably, slipped her collar. She is a friendly, indoor/outdoor cat so may be hiding or visiting somewhere. If seen please call her family at 902-222-7378 or contact us via Facebook messenger.

Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day.

It is a day to remember your beloved family members who have passed on. Whether they were furry, feathered, or scaled; had no feet, two, four, or hundreds of feet; were with you for a short time or as long as you can remember—they were a part of your family, and their death is felt deeply.

Everyone grieves for different lengths of time and in different ways. The littlest thing can bring back memories of that one special time you spent walking, talking, or cuddling with them.

No matter how you choose to grieve, please know that we are here for you if you need us...

To talk to or simply provide a listening ear.

We can also provide a list of books that may be of assistance. Many can be found at your local public library and/or online to purchase and share with your family members. There are books for all ages, from resources for parents and families helping children understand the loss of a pet to books for older children and adults.

There are pet loss support groups offered in the area if you would like that information as well.
