We are currently seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team for a maternity leave position, with strong potential for continued full-time employment afterward.

About Our Team & Clinic

You’ll work alongside:

* 2 Veterinarians
* 2 Experienced Veterinary Technicians
* 2 Veterinary Assistants
* 3 Receptionists

Our clinic is well-equipped with:

* Digital radiography
* In-house CBC, chemistry, and thyroid analyzers
* Microscopy and in-house cytology capabilities
* Dental suite with upgraded dental equipment and dental x-ray
* New ultrasound unit
* Two anesthetic machines with active scavenging systems

This allows us to provide a wide range of medical, dental, and surgical services while utilizing our technicians to their full potential.

Responsibilities Include:

* Patient nursing care
* Medication calculations and administration
* IV catheter placement
* Sample collection and laboratory diagnostics
* Monitoring anesthesia confidently and safely
* Performing blood smears, urinalysis, fecals, and cytology
* Client education and communication
* Medical record keeping
* Patient restraint
* Maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment

Experience is considered an asset, but it is not required — we warmly welcome new and recent graduates to apply.

🐾Exciting News from Westmorland Animal Hospital! 🐾
With full hearts and a lot of excitement, we are thrilled to share that Westmorland Animal
Hospital is officially under new ownership!
As of today, May 19th the clinic is now proudly owned by Dr. Kyrsten Landry and Samantha
Young.
Many of you already know both of them well. Dr. Landry started her Westmorland journey here
as a student and for the past 5 years has been caring for your pets as a one our our beloved
veterinarians, and Samantha has been a familiar, trusted face in the hospital for the past 11 years
as one of our amazing Veterinary Technicians. Together, they share a deep love for animals, a
strong commitment to compassionate medicine, and a genuine passion for this clinic and the
community we serve.
This transition is not just about ownership—it’s about continuing the relationships, trust, and
care that have always been at the heart of this clinic. Our wonderful team will remain the same,
and the mission we all share remains unchanged: to provide thoughtful, compassionate
veterinary care for every patient who walks through our doors.
Dr. Landry and Samantha are incredibly grateful for the support they have already received from
clients, colleagues, and friends. They are excited to build on the strong foundation that has made
this hospital such a special place for pets and the people who love them
