TICK ALERT! THEY'RE NOT DONE YET!

If you think tick season is over, think again! We're seeing a lot of tick activity right now, and we've had many clients calling to tell us they've found ticks on their pets. Fall is actually one of the times of year that ticks thrive! The cooler temperatures don't mean they've disappeared. In fact, ticks can remain active whenever temperatures are around 0°C or above. And with our increasingly mild winters, that means tick prevention may be necessary almost year-round!

Our advice? Don't stop your pet's tick prevention just because summer is over!
Ticks can transmit serious diseases, including Lyme disease, and protecting your pet is much easier than dealing with the consequences of a tick-borne illness.

If you've already stopped your pet's prevention or aren't sure how long to continue, give us a call. We're happy to help you keep your furry family members protected.

Remember: Tick season doesn't follow the calendar — it follows the temperature!

FOUND IN EMBRUN – ST. MORITZ

This handsome, mature orange boy was found last night and is looking for his family! 🧡

He’s a friendly fellow, guessing over 1 year old and he is not neutered and unfortunately isn’t getting along with the Good Samaritan's resident cats.

Do you recognize him? Could he be your cat, or perhaps a familiar neighbourhood visitor?
If you have any information about this sweet boy or know where he belongs, please contact the clinic. 613-445-5622

Please share to help us get him back home! 🏡🐈

From: Tabitha Gillispie

Hey everyone, my dog went missing last night. We live in the Chesterville area. It’s very unlike him to go to far without coming back, my hearts broken and am asking to please just keep an open eye. His name is Dax he’s a little skiddish with new people when he’s loose and running around. Please reach out if you know anything at all. Thank you
