Hey Maple!! Let’s get a nice picture for your folks whose flight got delayed today!

Anyone who gets good dog pictures 10/10 times is obviously a sorcerer.

Arranging your environment so the outcome you do not want is unavailable, will always have more consistent success than training. You still want to do the training too, of course, but strategic environmental management helps set everyone up for success, while learning and skill acquisition occurs.

Examples:
-Put your bread in the cupboard while teaching no counter surfing.
-Put your shoes away while teaching chew toy preference.
-Close the blinds or put wax paper on the windows while teaching to not bark at people/birds/cars outside.

Welcome to 2026!
We hope your holidays were excellent and your return to a regular routine was a welcome thing.

Not much will change for us in 2026. There are no new policies or requirements, but we are more often full over weekends and holidays. Our transport route to and from Regina is often full on Mondays and Fridays, so it's best to book that, when you book your pup's stay with us. We have updated our holiday hours for 2026 on our website, and all information there is current.

As with previous years, we do limit or pause our availability for new families to visit and tour our kennel over long weekends and most of July and August. The pups in our care are always our top priority, and visits may disrupt their schedule a little, which is something we like to avoid. If you are new to us and are hoping to schedule a visit and tour, please allow for enough time before your booking so we can find a day that works for both of us, and affects our guests the least.

If you have questions, please contact us by email, phone, or text. We have disabled messanger on this page, as it was, for a very long time, not reliable with letting us know there was a message waiting.

Don’t worry. Your pups got spoiled over the holidays. We were generous with the cookies and treats, and told our guests the were missed, and these were from their families. 🍪💛🍪💛🍪

The most amazing thing happened tonight. In 15 years of caring for your pets over Christmas, we’ve never had this happen before.

It started with a mysterious package at our front door…

The big fluffies got some outside playtime with Lonnie and the smol nekkids got office time with me. This smol is a lot of fun. 💛💛

During our busiest times of the year, we spend many hours every day on cleaning, correspondence, food prep, outside clean up, and other admin tasks.
We also look after our guests’ needs. :)

If it takes us a bit longer to get back to you, it’s because we are prioritizing looking after your pups. Our team is small and mighty, but also human. Please be patient with us. 💛

Meal prep, featuring a variety of different meal types. Each and every stainless steel bowl goes through the dishwasher after meals and the counter is wiped clean, to help reduce the possibility of germ sharing and spreading.

One of the greatest gifts you can give your dog and yourself, is regular lessons with a skilled instructor.

We have some great facilities and knowledgeable instructors in and around Regina, for fun and interesting classes, for basics and beyond. If you are still shopping for your pup’s holiday gift, a class will always be the right size. :)

If you teach classes and have a new set starting in January, drop a link in the comments to what you have coming up.

Shown: resident dog Gord, who recently finished a beginner class at Kaos, and will continue on with another after the holidays.

When it’s cold, we take in some office temps to help with the work load. They are terrible at typing, but pretty good at general cuteness and joyfulness. :)

If a guest will work for food, that opens up a lot of fun play possibilities, like chasing or hunting for kibble, working food out of a puzzle, and using food lures to teach behaviours like spin or down.
This teeny pup is a pro at kibble chase and gets extra wiggly when she knows she gets to play that game again. What a great way to end the day. 💛

Each of our guests get let out between 10-11pm for a potty, some attention, and a cookie before bed. Some pups love the quick one-on-one play when they are brought out of and before they are put back into their kennels or suites. Some pups can’t get back in fast enough for their cookie. And some, we have to gently prod to get them to wake up. 😆
This pup likes the silly, shoving, surprise hands type play (AND ALSO HIS COOKIE!!) and honestly, that’s fun for us, too. :)
