Meet Fergus, this handsome big boy Maine C**n! ❤️

Fergus had developed several mats under his ears, in his armpits, and around his back end. His mom had done her best to help by removing some of the matting at home, but it had become a little more than she could comfortably manage on her own.

To get Fergus feeling his best again, we decided a lion cut was the perfect solution. This removed the remaining mats safely and comfortably, giving him a fresh start and making it much easier for him to stay clean and comfortable moving forward.

Despite his size, Fergus was a gentle giant and handled his groom wonderfully. Now he’s looking handsome, feeling lighter, and ready to enjoy the summer in comfort! ☀️🐾

🌈 Wainbow’s Day of Pampering 💜

Meet sweet Wainbow, a very special senior girl who recently had a little spa day with Paws & Praise.

As cats age, grooming themselves can become more difficult, and Wainbow had developed some matting that was making her uncomfortable. Her loving mom and dad reached out because they wanted to help her feel her best again.

With lots of patience, gentle handling, and plenty of care, we were able to remove her mats and tidy up her coat. Wainbow was such a good girl, and what a difference it made! Not only does she look so much more comfortable, but she can now enjoy life without those uncomfortable tangles pulling on her skin.

Senior kitties hold such a special place in my heart. They deserve all the extra love, comfort, and TLC we can give them in their golden years. 💕

Belle came to see Paws & Praise for some help with a few mats and a little makeover 🐾

Her previous grooming experience had made her very nervous, and Mom shared that she had bitten during her last groom out of fear. Because of that, we took things slow, stayed patient, and focused on making this a calm and positive experience for her 🩷

And guess what? Belle did AMAZING. ✨

No biting, lots of bravery, and a sweet girl who slowly started to relax and trust the process. Seeing nervous kitties gain confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

We left her looking absolutely beautiful — and even more importantly — feeling proud of herself 🐱💕

✨ Meet the Heart Behind Paws & Praise ✨

Hi everyone! I thought it was finally time to properly introduce myself — I’m Jaelyn, owner and operator of Paws & Praise Mobile Cat Grooming 🩷🐾

I was born and raised in Saint John, NB, and my love for animals started at a very young age. In 2010, I moved to Moncton to attend Veterinary Technician school and became registered as soon as I graduated. Shortly after, I moved to Halifax where I had the privilege of working at Halifax Veterinary Hospital. During my time there, I met an incredible friend and mentor who inspired me greatly and now owns Jennifurs Mobile Cat Grooming in Halifax.

In 2014, I moved back home to New Brunswick and continued working in veterinary medicine in Rothesay. In 2016, I married my husband Chad, and in 2017, I stepped away from veterinary medicine to focus on building our life together and starting a family. Fast forward a few beautiful years later, we now have three amazing little ones keeping life busy and full of love 💕

But through all the seasons of life, one thing never left my heart — my passion for helping animals. Over time, I truly felt called to create something that combined my veterinary background, my love for cats, and my desire to help make grooming less stressful for both pets and their owners.

And that’s how Paws & Praise was born 🐱✨

My goal is simple:
To provide gentle, one-on-one grooming in the comfort of your cat’s home environment while treating every kitty with patience, compassion, and love.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, shared, booked appointments, and trusted me with your precious cats already. Watching this dream slowly come to life has meant more than I can put into words.
