Greystone Equine is a small riding school privately run by Alanna Parker and Michael Appugliese. Located on the edge of Rigaud Mountain we are only 30 minutes from the West Island of Montreal and mere moments from Autoroute 40. We accept riders of all ages (6+) and with our many safe and sound school horses, start all our riders in a calm and positive environment. We specialize in hunters, jumpers, and equitation, whether it be for show or pleasure. Greystone Equine attends all local (AERSO) shows, in both hunter and dressage, and hopes to make it to a few shows in Eastern Ontario. We often have many leasing or half-leasing options available, and occasionally have horses for sale. Should this interest you, or if you are interested in joining our team in any capacity, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Our community here at Greystone is based on being there for each other in good times and bad. The past year has been a tough one for Stacey and Scarlett as they each navigated their own journeys in the unpredictable world of horses.

However, today is a day to celebrate the good moments as these two are now an official team! Scarlett is the luckiest girl to have found her forever home with Stacey and we are looking forward to watching them grow together.

Our team at Greystone is stronger and better because of Tria, who work tirelessly to ensure the barn stays in tip-top shape, the horses are carefully cared for, and a million-and-one tasks get done on a daily basis. These are just a few of the reasons why we are so thrilled that Tria will continue her partnership with the incredible Lady for another year as we think an awesome person deserves an awesome horse!

Mystery, a long-time barn favourite, is always keen to help his riders improve and grow, which is why we're so pleased that Islay and Viktoria are continuing their partnerships with him for the coming year!

This mother-son duo may be the cutest thing ever! Huge congratulations to Britta and Jakob on their new leases here at Greystone. We are so pleased that Jakob and Arrow are now a team, and that Britta and Jonah will also be building a new partnership!

Nalla
Nalla is a steady eddy 14.1h Quarter Horse mare available for quarter lease. She’s the perfect confidence builder for kids learning to jump or starting their horse show journey. Brave, honest, and forgiving over fences, she absolutely loves to jump (although she does need a bit of leg to keep her motivated on the flat.)
If you’re interested in trying this lovely pony, please let us know — she’d be thrilled to meet her next young rider.

Paisley
Paisley is a fantastic 14.2h large pony mare looking for a quarter or half leasor. She’s wonderfully versatile and suits both young riders and small adults. A true jack of all trades, she can teach a rider their first crossrail one day, and then bomb around the pony jumpers at top speeds the next.
Paisley lives outside, goes barefoot, and requires virtually no maintenance, making her an affordable option for someone wanting more time in the saddle and a pony they can really bond with.
Please contact us for more information!

Wanbarrow Tristan (Arrow)
Arrow joined Greystone in 2022 as a newly purchased first pony for one of our young riders. Since then, his fan club kept growing, and one of his leasors was the next child to own him. By 2026, it was clear he was part of the Greystone family — he’s simply too special to let go.
Standing 13h, Arrow is the quintessential show pony: safe, steady, well travelled, and an absolute ham to have in the barn. He’s every kid’s (and parent’s!) dream pony.
Arrow is ready to bring along a new child who wants a fun, confidence building partner to learn with. Please contact us for more information or to meet him.

Congratulations to Zoe Casey and the rest of the Casey family on their most recent addition to the family, Callahan!

We are so pleased that Callahan will continue to be a part of Greystone in his next adventure with his new owner, and we can’t wait to see the progress Zoe and him make over the coming years.

She has hunter show experience and would suit a partner looking to sharpen their skills and develop more technical finesse.
Generally straightforward and reliable, Ivy can have the occasional winter moment, so she’s best suited to someone with a bit of experience. She offers a great balance of dependability and enjoyment for riders wanting to progress while having fun.
