🚀 Rocket came in for a f***l test after Mom noticed a worm in his p**p! 💩🐾

And this is a great reminder that even pets who are on regular parasite prevention should still have a yearly f***l exam.

F***l testing allows us to look for intestinal parasites and other organisms that may not always be visible to the naked eye; and some infections can occur even when your pet is acting completely normal.

Parasite prevention is an important part of keeping your pet protected, but it doesn’t cover every possible intestinal parasite, which is why routine f***l testing is still recommended.

If you ever notice something unusual in your pet’s stool, like a worm, mucus, blood, or a change in consistency, let your veterinary team know and bring in a fresh sample when possible. 🩺

This adorable Devon Rex isn’t the biggest fan of his visit, but that’s okay! Every cat has a different comfort level, and our team is here to meet them where they’re at. Whether your cat is shy, vocal, nervous, or a little extra spicy, we take the time to use gentle handling, patience, and plenty of compassion to make their visit as stress-free as possible.

Our goal isn’t to force the experience; it’s to build trust while still providing the care they need. Every cat deserves to feel safe, no matter their personality. 💙

If you’ve visited our clinic, chances are you’ve already met Skye and seen her smiling face around the hospital but it’s time for her official introduction! 💙🐾

As one of our amazing Animal Care Attendants, Skye helps keep our patients comfortable, loved, and well cared for every single day. Whether she’s giving extra cuddles, helping our veterinary team, or making sure everyone has what they need, she’s always happy to lend a hand.

When she’s not at the clinic, you can usually find her:

🔥 What’s that itchy spot? It could be a hot spot! 🔥

Sweet Weston came in to see Dr. Hughes after developing a hot spot. These painful, inflamed skin lesions can appear very quickly and often start from something as simple as an itch. Whether it’s allergies, insect bites, moisture trapped in the coat, fleas, or excessive licking, hot spots can worsen if left untreated.

At Weston’s visit, we examined the affected area, clipped the fur around the lesion, cleaned it thoroughly, and started appropriate treatment to help him feel more comfortable and get back on the road to healing. ❤️

💡 Did you know?
If you notice your pet constantly licking, chewing, or scratching one area, or you see a red, moist patch on their skin, it’s important to have it checked as soon as possible. Early treatment helps prevent infection, relieves discomfort, and speeds up healing.

Keeping your pet up to date on flea prevention, managing allergies, and drying their coat well after swimming or bathing can all help reduce the risk of hot spots.

Way to go, Weston—you were such a brave boy, and we hope you’re feeling much better already! 🐾💙
