To prevent your pup from contracting parvo, it is essential to get them vaccinated. A puppy’s first set of vaccinations happen at 6 weeks old with another two at 9 and 12 weeks. That said, those extra toes can come with a few care considerations. More toes means more nails to trim, and sometimes they grow at different angles or are easier to snag if not maintained. Dehydration can sneak up on pets faster than many people realize, especially during hot weather or when they’ve been vomiting or having diarrhea. ☀️🐶 Common signs to watch for include dry or sticky gums, tiredness, sunken eyes, a decreased appetite, heavy panting, and skin that doesn’t bounce back quickly when gently lifted.

If your pet seems off, isn’t drinking well, or is showing several of these signs, it’s a good idea to have them checked sooner rather than later.
