It’s a very sad day in the SAR world with the passing of this great, wise and gentle soul.

Roy you have taught so many of us about the beauty and gratification of training and working with SAR dogs. Your soft spoken and insightful knowledge helped shape CARDA, BCSDA and the SAR world to what it is today.

Thank you for your countless hours of volunteering, sharing your passion, and beautiful friendship.

Our hearts are with you and your family, ❤️

You will be missed💔

Looking for a great local event to support those hard working avalanche dog teams around BC. Come out to the Big Eddy Pub January 12th for that chance. You might get a shot at winning a day of heli skiing with Selkirk Tangiers or check out some of the amazing silent auction items. All proceed for the event go to the Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association.

Some of our local wilderness search dogs are members of the BC search dog association. Certified and teams in training attend annual courses. At these wilderness courses teams are subject to a validation exam with the RCMP. Check out some of these teams in this great video.
