This is definitely a feel good video and I give HUGE props to these guys for saving that dog!
This also serves as a reminder as to why I crate my dogs when I leave...not matter how old they are, I will keep crating them...why? Because the crates are at the front door for easy rescue. They can just grab the kennels and get them to safety. No hiding because they are afraid and being missed by fire dept. No chasing them around the house. No worry of getting bit if my dogs are scared (also I have 3 GSDs - so there is a bite risk there regardless of fear). They are safely contained and can be taken to safety (neighbours or Humane Society) or sit in my front yard while fire is being delt with... Praying I don't ever worry about this, but this is my why when people ask why I keep my dogs in crates even when they are no longer puppies. This is one of my greatest fears. 🙏
