Poem: “You Live In The Moment”
We are privileged to own, or to have owned, precious companion animals.
In the rush of life I wonder if we ever reflect on what our pets can teach us, and that is to take a minute and pause from the rush of everyday life. This poem addresses that issue.
As we read this reflection can we be thankful for those lessons that our pets who are now at the Rainbow Bridge have taught us, and also learn from those we are privileged to care for now.

You Live In The Moment
*
You live in the moment.
You’re able to BE.
You don't have to be what you're not, I see.
*
You live in the moment.
You are so content.
In all that you do you're so innocent.
*
You live in the moment
and lie in the sun,
and during that time, with nature you're one.
*
You live in the moment.
You live in each one
when you snuggle up, or when you have fun.
*
You live in the moment,
contented I know,
to be my companion where ever I go.
*
I live in the moment
every day?
Not always. I worry, I'm sad to say.
I'm planning and thinking of things I must do...
of future projects and seeing them through.
And with all these projects I rush here and there.
Demands of my life take me everywhere.
Some are important while others could wait.
There’s times I should BE... before it's too late.
And then I should stop, relax and thus learn,
the secrets to living… which I could discern.
*
You live in the moment
every day.
Is that the lesson you wish to convey?
*
You live in the moment
in all that you do.
Is that what you wish me to do too?
*
You live in the moment.
That's what you do.
Thank you for teaching me that lesson too.
