🌾 Please be mindful of the foxtail when you are enjoying the outdoors with your canine companions! Avoid letting them ingest it whenever possible as the awns can become lodged in the back of the throat, tonsils and soft palate causing gagging, irritation and infection. Dr. Potts recently had to remove some from our patient Scout’s tonsils and throat and hopefully will be feeling more comfortable soon! ❤️‍🩹 🐾

🦷 🐶 When your pet has a dental treatment with our team, not only are all of the teeth evaluated, but a thorough oral exam is performed as well. We found a surprise mass in our patient’s mouth during his dental treatment that the owners were not aware was even there! After biopsying, we were able to take x-rays to investigate whether or not the mass was affecting the adjacent tooth roots and mandibular bone. Early identification is so key 🔑 in these cases for better patient outcome!
