Strix had himself almost a full week of showing at the Prince Albert and Saskatoon shows this past week. He went in need a single point to finish his Grand Champion Bronze which he crossed off his to do list with his first trip in the ring, earning Best of Breed and a Group 2nd. After that he went on to be awarded Best of Breed in 6 of the remaining 9 shows and two more Group 4th placements. Massive thank you to Amarantine Ranch for taking him up to PA and taking his lead in the ring for 8 of the 10 shows.

Strix is currently the #3 Miniature Bull Terrier in Canada.

Strix's kids turn a year old later this month so this was their last puppy show and both of them collected more points towards their GCh titles. Barracks (Fleet x Strix) was even awarded a Group 2, BPIG and BPIS on Saturday under Judge Gail Forsythe. Thanks to Brooke Fitzpatrick for showing him perfectly on Saturday.

Yesterday Strix and I were at the Saskatchewan Terrier Association Specialty Show. Despite it being hot and humid, Strix showed nicely, going Best of Breed in both shows and then pulling off a Group 4th in show 2! He is now just 1 point short of his Grand Champion Bronze title and he is not even 2 years old yet 😱.

Strix had a great weekend at the Wascana Dog Club shows in Balgonie this weekend. He was awarded Best of breed in 4 out of 6 shows and placed in group 3 out 4 times earning a Group 2nd on Friday, Group 3rd on Saturday, and Group 4th today.

These placements are all well and good but the real win here is how well he showed for me this weekend. He moved around the ring beautifully, held his stacks and even hit a few nice free stacks for me. Him and I have been out of sync with each other since last summer and it felt really good to have such a successful weekend on the end of his leash.

After this weekend, Strix has reclaimed the top spot as #1 Miniature Bull Terrier in Canada. We have just a few more points to go before he achieves his Grand Champion Bronze title and he isn't even 2 years old yet. Looking forward to the Saskatchewan Terrier Specialty in a few weekends from now.

Shay is officially a Grand Champion Bronze🎉

While we aren't 100% retiring her from the show ring, we will definitely be slowing down from here. Still lots of things on our to do list though so we definitely won't be bored.
