Some people may never understand this kind of pain...

But sometimes, the smallest reminder can bring back a love we thought we had learned to carry. A tiny pawprint, an old photo, or a quiet moment can still make our hearts ache because the bond was real.

Love doesn't vanish when they're gone. It stays in the memories, the little things, and the empty spaces they left behind. If you still miss your furry friend, please know you are not alone. 🐾🀍

Today is World Lizard Day!🦎

The lizard is a remarkable creature that reminds us of resilience, adaptability, & renewal. The lizard symbolizes transformation ... It teaches us that growth often comes through change, encouraging us to release what no longer serves us so we can move forward with greater wisdom. We too are capable of letting go of old fears, limiting beliefs, & past experiences that no longer belong on our path πŸ™πŸΌ

The lizard also invites us to slow down & become more aware of our surroundings. It reminds us that there is wisdom in stillness, & that by remaining present, we are better able to recognize the opportunities & guidance that life offers.

Today, take a moment to honor the incredible diversity of life on our planet & remember that every living being has an important role within Creation 🌎

Allow the spirit of the lizard to inspire you to embrace change with grace, trust your instincts, & step confidently into the next chapter of your journey

With love,
Grandmother Flordemayo ❀️

Whether it's an unexpected litter, or a change in life's circumstances, responsible rehoming requires some basic questions and research.

Below are a few tips on how to help keep animals safe:

It's Veterinary Apreciation Day! I'm very grateful for my ferrets' vets- Dr. Broberg and Dr. Fisher- at Albert North Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Paul at Regent Park Animal Hospital takes good care of my cats.

The veterinary team at the Animal Clinic of Regina has welcomed both as walk-ins on more than one occasion (we usually see Dr. Dhakal or Dr. Jinks)

🐱🩺 National Vet Appreciation Day: because our cats can't say thank you themselves.

So, we'll say it for them!

Thank you to the veterinarians who:
🩸 Draw blood from a squirming, hissing cat and still speak in gentle tones
πŸ“ž Take middle-of-the-night emergency calls when a cat stopped eating
😌 Help us say goodbye with dignity and compassion when it's time
🐾 Diagnose the invisible: kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, arthritis; things that cats hide so well
πŸ’‰ Administer vaccines while getting zero gratitude from the patient
🧠 Stay current on the latest feline medicine, often on their own dime
😒 Carry the weight of euthanasia appointments home with them every single night

Veterinarians have one of the highest rates of compassion fatigue and su***de of any profession. They chose this work because they love animals. They stay because they love them even when it hurts.

So today, send a card. Leave a review. Write a thank-you note. Bring cookies to the clinic. Or simply look your vet in the eye and say, "I see you. Thank you for caring for my cat."

Today, October 27th, is officially National Black Cat Day, a day for those to celebrate black cats and raise awareness on how they are often overlooked for adoption.

The day was created by the Cats Protection charity in an attempt to debunk bad luck superstitions, celebrate, and increase the odds of black cats being rescued and loved.
