Hi there! I’m Bear 😊, and I’m basically a big bundle of love with paws 🐾. If you’re looking for a dog who is absolutely obsessed with his people, congratulations, you’ve found me 😉. I love, love, love being around my humans and soaking up all the attention I can get 💙.

I’m a friendly guy who gets along with just about everyone I meet 😊. Because I’m a larger, enthusiastic dude, I can sometimes be a bit too much for smaller dogs and kitties, so I do best with furry friends who can match my size and energy 😁. Dogs my size? Total besties 🐶.

Playtime is my favorite ⚽. I’m also working hard on my basic commands and doing really well 🤓. I’m a quick learner who’s eager to please, especially when encouragement and treats are involved 😋. With a little continued training and a lot of love, I’m going to be an amazing companion 💙.

We’re SO excited to introduce our brand new program…DOGGY DAYCATION 🎉!

Ever wanted to foster a shelter dog but couldn’t commit long term? Now you can make a huge difference in just ONE day 💙.

Doggy Daycation gives our shelter pups the chance to take a break from kennel life and enjoy a fun adventure out in the community. Whether it’s going for a walk, grabbing a pup cup, exploring pet friendly stores, or simply spending time soaking up love and attention, every outing helps our dogs decompress, build confidence, and show off their amazing personalities 🥹💙.

The best part? You only have to “foster” for the day! We’ll provide everything you need, including supplies, important information about your doggy adventure buddy, and plenty of tips to help make the day fun and stress free 🥰.

Not only will you give a shelter dog the BEST day ever, but you’ll also help them get noticed by potential adopters while learning more about how they do outside the shelter environment 😁😁.

I am a genuinely sweet and loyal guy who just needs a little time and patience to feel safe and settled 💙. Once we are friends, you will see just how affectionate and loving I can be 🥰. Oh goodness hi, I’m Kiley 🥹! I’m a very sweet lady who is patiently waiting for my forever home 😊. I may take a moment to settle in and get comfortable, but once I do, my gentle and affectionate personality really shines through 😁.

🐾 URGENT: WE NEED THE COMMUNITIES HELP! 🩺

At CA Humane, we are incredibly fortunate to have a fully functioning veterinary clinic right inside our shelter 🤞🏼. Having access to veterinary care on site allows us to provide immediate medical treatment, diagnostics, surgeries, and compassionate care for the hundreds of animals that come through our doors every year 💙.

From sick and injured strays, to senior animals needing extra support, to emergency medical cases that would otherwise have nowhere to go; our clinic plays a critical role in giving these animals a second chance 🥰.

One of the most important tools in veterinary medicine is an ultrasound machine. Ultrasound allows our veterinary team to safely and non-invasively diagnose internal illnesses, monitor pregnancies, assess organs, detect fluid buildup, identify masses, and make faster decisions for animals in urgent need of care.

Unfortunately, our current ultrasound equipment is no longer meeting the needs of our clinic 😔, and we are now fundraising for a replacement unit. The cost of a new ultrasound machine is approximately $8,000 which we simply can't afford ❤️‍🩹.

This equipment will directly help shelter animals receive quicker diagnoses, better treatment plans, and improved quality of care, all without needing to transport them off site for imaging whenever possible.

🎉 HAPPY FRIDAY!

Our sweet girl Kasey was in one of our holding rooms packed full of unaltered males waiting for their surgeries. Kasey was also very much in heat and FULLY aware of the attention she was receiving 😅!

While the boys were trying their best to maintain what dignity they had left, Kasey was busy serving looks 📸, striking poses 😇, and conducting what can only be described as a highly dramatic and deeply unnecessary photo shoot.

Was she stressed? Not even a little. Was she thriving? Absolutely. Did she know exactly what she was doing? Without question.

Please enjoy this exclusive glimpse into Kasey’s main character moment, where she reminded everyone in that room exactly who was in charge 🤣.
