It was a struggle to make this card. It just had to be perfect. The reason why? It was a sympathy card for some folks in my family who just lost their son. He left behind his folks, his wife and two boys. I figured they deserved a handmade card, and I had to make it perfect.

This card started as tulips. Then after I had cut everything and was creating the tulips, I decided I didn’t like it after all. So then the butterflies came out. He was a country boy so I used Tim Holtz distressed paper to make the worn jeans effect. All in all it took me about 4 hours to create two of these cards.
