🐾 Important Update: BC SPCA Prince Rupert Branch Public Hours 🐾

As many of you know, our dedicated team works hard every day to provide the best possible care for the animals at our Centre. Due to temporary staffing shortages, we need to prioritize animal welfare and daily animal care needs over public access on certain days during the first three weeks of October.

Please note that while our Centre will be closed to the public on some days, our animals are being cared for 7 days a week and continue to receive the love, attention, and care they deserve. ❤️

Public Hours:

📅 October 3 (Saturday): Closed to the public

🔒 October 4-7: Closed to the Public

📅 October 8 (Thursday): Open 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

🔒 October 9 (Friday): Closed to the Public

📅 October 10 (Saturday): Open 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

🔒 October 11-12: Closed to the Public

📅 October 13-17: Open Regular Hours, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we navigate this temporary adjustment. Our priority remains the health, well-being, and happiness of the animals in our care.

📞 To report animal cruelty or an animal in distress, please call the BC SPCA Animal Helpline at 1-855-622-7722.

Thank you for supporting the animals of Prince Rupert. 🐱🐶🐰

The BC SPCA is honouring National Truth and Reconciliation Day by closing all its locations on Wednesday, September 30. This is in recognition of the history of residential schools in Canada and their impacts on Indigenous Peoples. The Society will also be ‘going quiet’ across all social media channels to respect and create space for Indigenous voices.
