"The Johnson American bulldog, also called the classic American bulldog, is the larger of the two American bulldog types. They stand about 23 to 27 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 90 and 120 pounds. Johnson dogs have heavier bones, wider chests and boxier heads more closely resembling the English bulldog due to a cross with that breed."

He used to be one of the smaller puppies in his litter. Remember how tiny he looked beside Tanker Bell? It’s hard to believe that was the same little guy! 🥹🤣

His family kept his name, although he primarily goes by his first name, Peter.

Peter has grown so much, and he’s really starting to fill out. We couldn’t be more proud of him. We absolutely love seeing updates from his family. Peter definitely deserves his own little shout out. Just ook at that handsome face. 😍

PUPDATE!!!! 💛 Look at Jelly Roll! He has grown SO much, and he’s as handsome as ever. We absolutely had to share this beautiful boy with everyone! 🤩

Jelly Roll is also pretty special because he went to the daughter of "The Mormon Giant", a well known professional wrestler. Talk about a pretty cool family to be part of!

Congratulations to Makayla Straub. 🎉 LARD VADER IS OFFICIALLY RESERVED! 🎉

We added a compilation of Vader growing up with us. It's been a beautiful journey and we thank everyone who's been watching him grow with us. 🥹🥰

After growing up with us, our big goofy boy is officially starting the next chapter of his story. Vader will be making his way to Grande Prairie, Alberta, where he’ll have a new family waiting for him, and a future sister who looks so much like him that we honestly can’t wait to see these two together. 💛

Vader’s journey to this moment hasn’t been completely straightforward. He originally had a home lined up in the USA, but unfortunately, things fell through and his plans changed. At the time, it was hard to understand why things weren’t working out for him. But sometimes, what feels like a disappointment is actually fate quietly redirecting towards where you’re meant to be. We truly believe that may have been the case for Vader.

Over the past little while, we’ve been working with him on building his confidence. Honestly, he has been doing so well. We’ve watched that confidence grow, and it makes us so proud of him. His new family is already so excited to continue working with him, giving him time to settle in and helping him become the best version of himself. Now there’s this wonderful anticipation of watching Vader and his new sister hopefully become the best of friends.

We’ve had the privilege of watching this big boy grow up with us. We know his goofy personality, his sensitive soul, his giant heart and all the little things that make Vader, Vader. He will always have a special place in our hearts.

🐾 Lard Vader Update! 🐾
Lard Vader has found a family who is absolutely in love with him. They are planning to place a deposit on him, and right now we’re just waiting for everything to be finalized before we make it official. 💛

We’ve been specifically looking for a home without other dogs because we wanted to set Vader up for the easiest possible transition. However, this family has a female who looks almost like his twin! They are willing to put in the time and work to introduce them properly, and they’re already excited about the possibility of these two becoming besties.

In the meantime, we’ve been continuing to work with Vader on meeting new dogs and building his confidence. He has been doing so well so far, and we couldn’t be prouder of him.

We’re hopeful that everything will come together for this family, and we’ll share another update once everything is finalized.

Go, Vader! You big goofy boy. 🥹🐾

An update of Vader with his beautiful mom, Biscuit! 🥹💛

Biscuit is on the left and Vader is on the right, and just look at him! Vader is now standing as tall as his mom, and he’s only 11 months old. He’s not done growing or filling out yet either, so we’re excited to see just how much more this handsome boy will mature.

He is still available and we’re looking for the right home for him. We would preferably like to see him go to a home with no other dogs or small children, where he can have the attention and structure he needs.

Vader truly is a stunning pup, and he has such a fun, goofy personality to match that handsome face!

🌌 HELP ME, OBI WAN KENOBI. YOU’RE MY ONLY HOPE. I TOLD LARD VADER TO SIT… AND HE CHOSE ME AS HIS CHAIR. 😂🐾

Meet Lard Vader, an 11 month old overgrown puppy and very big baby who is still learning how to operate his own heavy machinery. The machinery is his body. He has absolutely no idea how big he is.

His original family we had lined up had to back out, and despite receiving plenty of interest, we are still looking for the right forever home for him.

Here’s the honest briefing on our favourite
Sith Lord:

🌑 A little suspicious of the world.
Vader can be cautious in new situations and needs someone patient who will give him time to build confidence. Once he feels comfortable, he is very outgoing, social, and goofy.

🐾 He knows his commands.
Vader knows how to sit, lay down, shake a paw and roll over. He has a good foundation to build on, but he is still learning his overall manners.

🏡 Crate trained and house trained.
He is comfortable in his crate and is house trained, but he is still an 11 month old puppy, so he needs supervision when he has free roam of the house. He is still learning what is and is not appropriate to investigate with that giant puppy mouth.

🧸 He loves his toys.
Vader loves to play and responds well to redirection. If he gets interested in something he shouldn't have, giving him one of his toys is often enough to remind him where the fun stuff is supposed to be. 😂

🥹 A giant lap dog.
He genuinely believes he belongs in your lap. Your lap may have a different opinion. He finds your lack of faith disturbing.

🏡 Looking for a home without other dogs. Vader does best when he can have his people all to himself. He would love to be the only spoiled Sith Lord in the household, with plenty of attention, affection and scritches.

🚫 No young children.
Vader does not fully understand his size, and his big body and enthusiastic paws could accidentally hurt a child. We are looking for an adult home where his size and puppy behaviour can be managed safely.

Vader needs a patient family who understands that underneath the dramatic name is a big, sensitive baby who is still figuring things out. He's an 11 month old puppy in an enormous body who still has some growing up to do.
But he already has a great foundation, he knows several commands, he is crate trained and house trained, he loves his toys, and he can be redirected. He’s still a Padawan.

🐾 LARD VADER IS STILL AVAILABLE 🐾
Vader originally had a home lined up in the USA. They placed a deposit, everything seemed perfect, and then unexpectedly, they backed out. Since then, despite lots of interest, we just haven't quite found the right match for our boy.

Now 10 months old, Lard Vader is ready to find his forever person, and we think he's looking for a woman who wants a big baby and loyal companion. ❤️

He's huge, muscular, and walks with confidence, but meeting new people can make him a little nervous. He needs someone patient who will let him warm up at his own pace. But a little baby talk and some treats go a LONG way!!! 😂 We think he's especially partial to women because he absolutely loves being sweet talked, babied, and showered with affection. Once he's warmed up to you, he wants to be your shadow, be cuddled daily, go everywhere with you, and be involved in whatever you're doing.

He LOVES doing his tricks for treats, and his personality is incredibly goofy, mischievous, and playful!!! Expect zoomies, his butt straight up in the air while he plays, lots of sass and head tosses, and a giant puppy who genuinely believes he's a lap dog. 🥰

He's house trained, crate trained, and knows sit, lay down, roll over, and shake a paw. He also absolutely loves water and even enjoyed being on a paddle board recently!

We feel he'd do best as the only dog in the home and without small children, mostly because he's a big, muscular boy who doesn't always realize just how big he is. 😂 He'd be wonderful for someone looking for a strong, affectionate companion, or someone with an acreage who wants a big, muscular, goofy sidekick.

He's been waiting for his person. 💛

We are so excited to officially announce that Tw***ie has found her forever home! 🥰

Tw***ie has a new name, Ishi, a new brother named Ren, and a beautiful new home on an acreage in Golden, B.C. 🏡🐾

She absolutely loved her new family from the moment she met them. She immediately got the zoomies, and then went into full turbo puppy mode with her new brother, Ren. It was pretty clear that she had decided these were her people.

Tw***ie had to leave us with one last adorable memory, on the drive home she decided her food bowl made an excellent hat!!! 🤣🤣🤣

She is still adjusting to her new surroundings, learning her new home, and getting to know her new family and brother. Her new family is absolutely loving her, and that makes us so incredibly happy.

After everything, seeing her so excited and loved makes letting her go a little easier.
We are already missing our silly lovable Tw***ie, but we are so excited for this next chapter of her life as Ishi.

Congratulations to the family and welcome home, Ishi. We can't wait to watch you grow, make memories, and live your best acreage life. 💛

🐾 TW***IE IS AVAILABLE AGAIN 🐾
We were planning to do a post with Tw***ie and her new family but unfortunately, her adoption didn’t work out. But it truly wasn’t because of her.

The new family was in love with her. They brought her home and she got along wonderfully with their younger dog and settled in beautifully with the family. She was showing off her personality, doing her tricks, and even rolling over for them like the goofy, sweet girl we know and love.

The difficult part was their older dog, who was reactive and wasn’t accepting of Tw***ie. After trying to make things work, they ultimately felt it wasn’t safe for Tw***ie to remain in the home. As heartbreaking as it was, they made the incredibly difficult decision to return her because they wanted to put Tw***ie’s safety first. There was a lot of tears in that decision.

They absolutely LOVED her. They wanted so badly for it to work, and they told us that once their older dog is gone, if we still have Tw***ie, they would want her back, even if that ends up being years from now. 🥹💛

That really says so much about how special this girl is.

So, Tw***ie is back with us and officially looking for her forever family again. We know her family is out there. She deserves a home where she can be safe, loved, spoiled, and free to be the silly little goofball she is. 🥰
