We are a locally owned company. Dr. Fuller grew up in Prince George prior to receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Microbiology at the University of Calgary. Following these studies, Dr. Fuller achieved her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Fuller went on to complete a Small Animal Internship in Medicin

e and Surgery at the University of Prince Edward Island. Dr. Fuller then returned to Prince George and worked as a Small Animal Veterinarian for 7 years. Hart Family Veterinary Clinic Ltd provides compassionate, professional and personal care for our clients' beloved family members. With a focus on Small-Animal Medicine, Hart Family Veterinary Clinic Ltd provides a wide-range of care for companion pets. We will have scheduled as well as drop-in appointments available during our listed business hours, along with surgical appointments Monday through Friday.

Ok. This may seem weird… especially to non-pet lovers. Pet lovers will get it!
But if your friends decide to have a Disney themed party obviously dog-lover movies are the first that came to my mind.

I am sure everyone can guess from these photos what movie we re-enacted on Saturday with Norma and Bates as the main characters. Just a Disney classic!

🔎 THE BIG REVEAL! 🐾

For everyone who guessed endoscope on our last post… you got it! 🎉

We are very excited to have added a video endoscopy system to Hart Family Veterinary Clinic!

This new equipment gives us another way to look at areas of the body that we otherwise can't easily see — and opens up a whole new range of diagnostic and treatment options for our patients.

Depending on the case, endoscopy can be used for things like:

🐾 Gastroscopy – examining the esophagus and stomach
🐾 Foreign body retrieval – potentially removing certain swallowed objects without surgery
🐾 Biopsies – collecting tissue samples for further testing
🐾 Rhinoscopy – examining the nasal passages
🐾 Otoscopy – getting a detailed look deep inside the ear canal
🐾 And more!

Right now, we're still very much in practice and training mode. Our team has already completed our first hands-on training session, and we'll be doing lots more learning and practicing as we get comfortable with all the different ways we can put our new equipment to use.

A big thank you to our tech Madison (and especially her very good girl, Lexi! 🐶💚) for letting us get some hands-on practice while Lexi was already here for her dental procedure!

We're pretty excited about this one. 🤩 Having more diagnostic and treatment options available right here at Hart means more tools to help us figure out what's going on with our patients — and, in some cases, potentially less invasive options for treating them.

Stay tuned as we continue our training and get ready to officially put our newest toy to work! 💚🐾

✨ Please join us in welcoming Dr. Jenilee Bader to the Hart Family Veterinary Clinic team! ✨

Originally from the Cariboo, Dr. Bader grew up surrounded by horses and animals of all kinds, which helped shape her lifelong love of veterinary medicine. She later travelled to Australia to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and has experience caring for both large and small animals.

Dr. Bader is incredibly kind, wonderfully charismatic, and has already been such a natural fit with our team. She brings warmth, knowledge, and a genuine love for both animals and the people who care for them. We truly feel like we found a gem.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their little guy at home.

Dr. Bader will be working with us three days a week throughout the summer before joining us full-time in September. We are so excited for our clients and patients to get to know her—and we already love having her here! 💙🐾

Norma has learned she looooves swimming. I can’t keep her out of the water. 🏊‍♂️
Bates likes to cool off but also is happy to chill indoors (on a bed if possible).

We’re hiring an RVT!

As many of you know, our wonderful Kelly has recently moved on from Hart Family Veterinary Clinic after many years with us. While we miss her very much, we are now looking for another amazing Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team.

We are a busy, well-established small animal clinic with a great team, wonderful clients, and a workplace that truly values the role of our techs. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with some on-call and weekend availability required.

We have BIG news with our ‘Who is bigger now?’ Question of the day-
Norma or Dr Soleil Gagne… they’ve both gone up in weight, one is now 55 kg and the other 58 kg.

Both are are still ‘growing’ as we speak but Soleil will stop growing in September… 🥰🥰🥰

After being part of Hart Family Veterinary Clinic since the very beginning, Kelly is heading off on a new adventure with her family down to the Lower Mainland.

Kelly has been with the clinic since Dr. Fuller first opened Hart Family Vet in 2014, and the two of them had even worked together before that, so it is safe to say Kelly has been part of this story from the start.

As one of our longtime veterinary technicians, Kelly has been a familiar face to so many clients and patients over the years. She has been here through every stage of the clinic’s growth, every new system, every busy season, every “does anyone know where this is?” moment, and more patient snuggles, blood draws, dentals, surgeries, and mystery lumps than we could ever count.

Kelly has brought so much knowledge, experience, and care to our team, and her presence will be very missed by all of us at the clinic, and by the many clients and pets who have gotten to know her over the years.

Her last day with us will be **June 26th**, so please feel free to stop by before then to wish her well, say goodbye, or dramatically beg her not to leave. We support all forms of emotional send-off.

We are so grateful for everything she has contributed to Hart Family Vet, and we wish her and her family nothing but the very best as they start this next chapter. ❤️
