We want to take a second and thank everyone for coming to our last JP of the season.
Also a huge thanks to the volunteers for making this race run as smoothly as it did!! Dawn and Donna up in the booth keeping times and announcing - dream team! Lainy for making the ground amazing for us 🖤

🐴 EVENT PARKING INFO🐴

🟢 Horse Trailer Parking – Please park in the direction shown on the map and be mindful of leaving enough room for everyone to get in and out.

🟡 Overflow Horse Trailer Parking – Please fill the main trailer parking areas first. This area should be used last if additional trailer parking is needed.

🔵 Close/Mobility Spectator Parking – The limited parking beside the grandstand is reserved for spectators who need to be closer to the arena.

🚗 General Spectator Parking – Please park across the road from the arena.

🔴 No Parking – Please keep these areas completely clear for access, traffic flow, and safety.

Thank you for helping us squeeze everyone in safely and efficiently! Please take a quick look at the map before you arrive, and help us out by parking nice and tight. 💙🐴

Similar to our last race, with a couple little changes!

📅 When: Wednesday, September 2
⏰ Race Time: 6:30 PM
🏇 Order: Peewee → Open → Junior

Entry Fees
• Open — $33
• Junior — $23
• Senior — $23
• Peewee — $10
• Arena Fee: $15 per rider (no arena fee for Peewee)

⏱️ Time Onlies: $5/minute
Time Onlies will start at 5:00 PM and may open earlier depending on numbers.

The arena will open just before 6:00 PM for a 5-minute warm-up, then we’ll water if needed and drag before the race starts!

If you’ve spent any time around the BC rodeo or barrel racing community, you’ve likely heard Kim’s name. A talented horse trainer and accomplished competitor from Prince George, Kim has built a reputation for developing confident, responsive horses and consistently finding success in the arena.

Her accomplishments include:

🏆 2025 BC Rodeo Association Ladies Barrel Racing Champion
🏆 2025 BC Rodeo Association Ladies Barrel Horse of the Year
🏆 Multiple BCBRA 1D Finals Qualifier

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to fine-tune your competitive edge, Kim brings a wealth of knowledge that extends well beyond the barrels. Riders can expect practical, hands-on coaching focused on horsemanship, developing a softer and more responsive horse, improving pattern placement, quicker turns, and creating an effective warm-up and pre-run routine to help set you and your horse up for success.
