Growing up a city gal. I never thought about animals much, other than feeding Tommy, a stray cat who had the cutest broken meow.
I wanted a Vietnamese Potbelly Pig when they became popular. Since then, they are now considered endangered and are increasingly rare.
Over the last year, we have started to realize the fate of male chickens, ducks, geese, turkey’s etc. Most are unwanted and often culled.
Here is our large group of mostly male birds. These ones won the lottery and will live a happy life. Visitors are welcome to come hang out, but petting the birds is done on their term.
