Happy Veterinary Technician Week!

Behind every patient we care for is a team of dedicated veterinary technicians who give so much of themselves every single day.

From comforting nervous pets and supporting worried owners to monitoring anesthesia, providing nursing care, and keeping our busy days running smoothly. Their knowledge, compassion, and dedication make an incredible difference.

They are the calm in the chaos, the extra set of hands, and often the quiet heroes behind the scenes.

To our amazing Technicians at Birchwood, thank you for the heart, skill, and care you bring to our clinic every day. We appreciate you more than words can say!

This week, we celebrate YOU!

Sometimes we all need a little extra emotional support!

Mack was in and brought along his trusty stuffy for a little extra comfort. As you can see, we think it worked perfectly. 🥰

A little cuddle, a little snooze, and Mom could chat with the doctor while Mack relaxed nearby.

Whatever helps make a vet visit a little more comfortable, we’re all for it!

A VERY Belated THANK YOU from Birchwood!

We are a little late sharing this, but we promise the gratitude is just as big!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for our 5th Anniversary BBQ and Angel Fund fundraiser! Whether you stopped by for lunch, a pet portrait, or simply to say hello, we loved celebrating with you!

A special thank you to Jen from Purple Moose Portraits, Prince George Humane Society, Good Caws Crow Rescue, and Tickled Pink Pig Rescue for being part of our celebration!

Thanks to our wonderful community, we were able to raise funds to continue helping local pets and families through our Angel Fund.

Five years of Birchwood, and we couldn't have done it without you! Here's to many more!

The raffle baskets have been claimed, and we hope the lucky winners are enjoying their goodies :)

Everyone meet Bruno!

This handsome little guy was in today for his second set of kitten vaccines.

At Birchwood, we try to make every visit as low-stress as possible. A tasty distraction, a little poke… and Bruno was none the wiser!

Sometimes the simplest tricks can make a big difference in creating a positive veterinary experience from the very beginning.

Way to go, Bruno!
