🚩🚩URGENT FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED 🚩🚩

Rodney is a neutered 7- 8 year old Lab / Collie mix that is in need of a new family ASAP. His owners have been trying to find him a new home for the past 2 years with no luck and will have to euthanize him if they cannot find a new home in the next month or so.

We would love to help Rodney find a home to live out the rest of his years. He currently lives with cats and its good with them and is great with kids as well. He has been around other dogs at the dog park and is fine but has not lived with any so would be best to feed separate in case of food aggression.

He is described as protective but if he understands he is safe he is a friendly goofy guy. He would do best in a home with children as he is so happy when he is around them.

If you are interested in Rodney please message us and we willl connect you with the owner.

Please no negative comments as this does not help Rodney find a new home.

Winter is coming!! 🥶

And with the chilly temps on their way the team at Pretty in Pink Animal Rescue wanted to share some tips and information with the community.

Whether you have indoor dogs or outdoor dogs winter can be a perfect time to learn and gain knowledge and of how to protect our furry friends 🐕.

Did you know that dogs can experience frostbite as early as -7, short haired or smaller in size dogs can have a harder time in the winter so you may want to think of picking up a sweater or winter jacket for them for potty breaks and for our furry friends who still go on walks you may consider dog boots, which may not be their favourite in the beginning but once they are used to the boots they will love you for it.

Even for dogs who are more prepared for winter like our husky’s and great pyrenees it is important the give them somewhere warm and dry and out of the wind if they are staying outside for long periods of time. Straw bales and insulated dog houses are a great resource to use. Straw bales are moisture repelling keeping your dog dry and warm while being affordable and easy to replace. NEVER USE HAY it has remaining nutrients that absorb liquid causing a moist environment that is likely to rot.

If you have dogs that are outside the majority of time it is important you keep them hydrated, having a heated water bowl or a warm area for your dogs to come in and drink from is very important. Dehydration can cause severe problems for your dogs including shock and organ damage, and we want to keep them as safe as possible.

ADOPTABLE: MISS DOLLY 🐶

Miss Dolly is an aprox 12 weeks old pitty mix . Dolly had a rough start to life and is a bit timid with all this world has to offer. Shes shy with adults, but she absolutely adores kids, loves other dogs and is very cautiously curious of cats. She has made huge strides in confidence, playing, potty training, and cuddling since coming into foster care. She does amazing in her crate overnight or while were away, and is getting really good and showing signs of when she needs to go outside! Dolly would be best suited to be in a home with other dogs as she truly loves them!

If you would like to add this adorable girl to your life please fill out our adoption application. You can find it on our website or the top of our fb page!
