Baking my loaves late at night as per usual… looking like an absolute disaster. BUT I had to share this.. the rise in 24 hours on these babies is like nothing I’ve ever experienced..

Also… if you live in the area, go follow Charlotte because, YUM 🤤

Stay tuned for the bake and after that - the secret! 🤐

Step by Step to a Loaf — Part 3 🍞

The final step: turning that cold dough into a crusty, golden loaf. 🤎

I score it, lower it into a preheated Dutch oven on parchment, and bake it with the lid on. After 30–35 minutes, I take the lid off and give it another 8–12 minutes to brown. I like a golden crust without it getting too hard!

Save the full series for your next bake! Which part would you want me to explain in more detail?

Step by Step to a Loaf — Part 2 🍞

We’ve mixed the dough. Now comes the part where you keep looking at the bowl and asking, “Has it done anything yet?” 😂

In this part, I’m letting the dough rest, doing stretch and folds and letting it bulk ferment… then showing you how I get that sticky little blob out of the bowl and roll it into a loaf. Once it’s shaped, I cover it and put it in the fridge for 12–24 hours before baking.

Save this for your next loaf, and tell me:

is shaping the part that stresses you out too? 👇

Part 3 is the bake! 🤎
