📣 **ATTENTION CUSTOMERS — BOOKING SYSTEM ISSUES!** 📣

Hi everyone! 🐾

Since the recent time change issues here in BC, my grooming booking system has been experiencing some glitches, and unfortunately, it’s causing a bit of chaos with my schedule! 🤦‍♀️

Some appointments are showing incorrect times, existing appointments have been shifted by an hour, and I’m even experiencing some unexpected scheduling changes and duplicate bookings.

I’m doing my best to keep everything sorted out, but I wanted to give everyone a heads-up in case you notice anything unusual with your upcoming appointments.

**PLEASE double-check your appointment times, and if something doesn’t look right, please contact me directly to confirm!** If you receive a reminder with a different time than what we originally discussed, or notice anything else that seems off, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

🚨🚨 🦟 FLEA PSA! 🦟 🚨🚨

A friendly reminder to **please check your dogs for fleas BEFORE bringing them to the shop.** 🐶🛁

Fleas aren't just a "couple little bugs." Their life cycle is:

🥚 **Egg → 🐛 Larva → 🥜 Pupa/Cocoon → 🦟 Adult**

And here's the frustrating part: **most of that life cycle happens OFF the dog**, in bedding, carpets, furniture and the environment. The pupal stage is especially sneaky because the cocoon can protect developing fleas from many treatments until conditions are right for them to emerge.

This is why getting rid of fleas can take ** months to get rid of**, particularly with an established infestation. Treating the pet, cleaning the environment and continuing appropriate flea prevention are all important for breaking the cycle. They need minimum 3-4 months of treatments to *maybe* break the cycle.

# # # 🚨 SHOP POLICY 🚨

**If live fleas are found on your dog when they arrive for their appointment, they will be sent home and will not be groomed.**

This isn't about blame or embarrassment. Fleas happen! ❤️ But I have to protect the other dogs coming through the shop, as well as the shop itself.

Please give your dog a quick flea check **before their appointment**, especially around the belly, neck and base of the tail. And remember, not seeing a flea doesn't always mean there isn't a problem.
