Zero experience is required, all ages, stages, and tack are welcome! We will have two groups, giving riders who have tried cattle sorting before the opportunity to jump right in and practice those new skills as well as a “just getting started” group to slowly introduce you and your horse to cows and the world of sorting. samanthamcfadyen2025 will be your guide and has introduced hundreds of riders to the sport from all discipline backgrounds.
As usual, the day includes a catered lunch for all auditors and participants.
Schedule:
8am - 9am
Introduction to Cattle Sorting and moving the cows on foot (auditors too!)
9am - 11:30am
Rerun Group (Max of 10 riders)
This is the group for you if you have tried cattle sorting before and you want to jump right in and practice your skills. Even once is enough experience!
11:30am - 12:30pm
Lunch
12:30pm - 3:00pm
First Time Group (Max of 10 riders)
If you’ve never done it before, your horse has never done it before, or maybe you want a refresher, this is a lovely ease-in introduction to give it a go with lots of on the ground support.
